You Can Stream All but One ‘Transformers’ Movie on One Platform

It’s rare to say that you can stream all movies from one franchise in one place right now. It seems that older movies end up on multiple other platforms, leading to a game of finding which streaming service you need. With news of Peter Cullen’s death breaking, eyes are on where everyone can watch his previous works, and one of the biggest is the “Transformers” franchise.

The 85-year-old legendary voice actor brought Optimus Prime to life, starting with the animated TV series. When the Michael Bay movies arrived, he returned to take on the iconic role, and he kept coming back for all but one movie: “Transformers One.” That movie was a prequel story of Optimus Prime, with Chris Hemsworth voicing the role.

All other movies that brought us the tale of the Autobots working with humans to protect themselves and planet Earth have Cullen’s voice, and you can watch almost all of them in one place. The following are on Paramount+:

  • “Transformers” (2007)
  • “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” (2009)
  • “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” (2011)
  • “Transformers: Age of Extinction” (2014)
  • “Bumblebee” (2018)
  • “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts” (2023)

“Rises of the Beasts marks the last feature film Cullen was a part of before his death, although he did return to voice the character in “Fortnite: Chapter 4” in 2023 and on an episode of “The Masked Singer” in 2024.

If you do want to watch the prequel movie, “Transformers One” from 2024, then you can also stream that on Paramount+. Just keep in mind that this involves younger versions of the Autobots we know and love, and Hemsworth took on the legendary character. It is worth watching, but it’s not Cullen.

There is one movie missing, and that’s the 2017 movie “Transformers: The Last Knight.” That is currently available on MGM+ and Prime Video, but it does often head back to Paramount+. This movement is all linked to licensing deals.

Cullen does voice Optimus Prime in this release. In this movie, he is searching for answers about his creators.

There is another “Transformers” movie in the works, which will take place directly after the events of “Rise of the Beasts.” That is expected in 2027, but this could change in the light of Cullen’s passing, as a new voice for Optimus Prime will need to be found.

What about the animated show? For many of these episodes, you’re heading to the FAST channels, which is great, because it means you can stream for free.

The original “Transformers,” which aired from 1984 to 1987, is available on Tubi and The Roku Channel. The 1996-1999 series “Transformers: Beast Wars” is on Tubi and Pluto TV, along with “Transformers: Beast Machines” and “Transformers: Animated.”

You’ll then want to move on to Netflix and Tubi for “Transformers: Prime” and “Transformers: Rescue Bots,” and then you’ll need to turn to Prime VIdeo for “Transformers: Robots in Disguise.” Then it’s over to Netflix for “Transformers: Cyberverse” and “Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy.” The latter is only available on Netflix, while many others can be found on the Official Hasbro Channel on YouTube. Finally, “Transformers: EarthSpark” is on Paramount+.

“Transformers: Titans Return” and “Transformers: Power of the Primes” are available to stream on YouTube on the official Hasbro Pulse and Transformers Channels.

It is worth watching them all, but keep in mind that Cullen only voices Optimus Prime in the following shows:

  • “Transformers/Generation 1”
  • “Transformers: Prime”
  • “Transformers: Rescue Bots”
  • “Transformers: Robots in Disguise”
  • “Transformers: Titans Return”
  • “Transformers: Power of the Primes”
