‘90s actress Twink Caplan, best known for her role in the 1995 comedy film “Clueless”, in which she played school teacher Miss Geist, was spotted during a rare public outing. Photos obtained by the Daily Mail show Caplan wearing a pink T-shirt, a multi-colored plaid overshirt, black pants, flat black shoes, and a black baseball cap.
After not seeing her in public for so long, she may look unrecognizable to some, but her signature bold red hair is exactly the same!

Caplan has mostly disappeared from the limelight, but in interviews, she has reflected on her role in “Clueless,” which starred Alicia Silverstone, Stacy Dash, Brittany Murphy, and Paul Rudd.
In a 2013 interview with Honestly Jamie, Caplan reflected on her favorite memory from “Clueless.” She revealed it was her “on-screen wedding day!” She continued, “I negotiated (pleaded) with my BFF and the director/writer, Amy Heckerling, to be my other bridesmaid along with Alicia. Being in front of the camera was her least favorite thing, next to wearing pink, but she did it for me.”
Caplan’s friend Carl Gottlieb was the minister in the film, and she revealed another scene Heckerling wrote that didn’t make it in. She continued, “Mona May designed my exquisite gown from scratch…it was stunning, and I had to use an old-fashioned ‘slant board’ because I couldn’t sit in it! Watching the fighting over my bouquet was hilarious, and the entire day felt like a real wedding.”
Caplan praised the cast and crew of the film, saying they were “a refreshing cast with energy and optimism,” and she reflected on how filming in Los Angeles was able to “create jobs and opportunities all around town. Amy’s script was clever and inventive, and watching it come to fruition was sweet.”
Twink Caplan Asks Alicia Silverstone About ‘Clueless’
GettyCaplan also shared her favorite line from the film, and it was not one of hers. “Cher is talking to Tai and Dionne about virginity, and says, ‘You see how picky I am about my shoes and they only go on my feet,’” she said of Silverstone’s line.
In an interview for As If, Caplan chatted with Silverstone. One of the questions she asked was “Acting for film and theater require two different disciplines, two different energies. Do you marry the two disciplines? Do they feed one another?” to which Silverstone responded, “When I was younger, pre-Clueless, I was very shy, but I was very real, which is why I got parts. But the note I would always get from a director was, ‘Could you speak up? Can you be louder?’ Once I started working in theater, something came out of me.”
She continued, “I remember working with Danny DeVito, and he asked me to take it down a notch, which I thought was a great compliment! I became more of a woman; I was no longer a quiet little girl, and that has a lot to do with growing up. I’m very expressive, and sometimes my face may move around too much.”
