Best Auditions From ‘American Idol’ Season 24 Premiere [VIDEO]

American Idol” 2026 delivered a very emotional season 24 premiere night, reminding viewers that the show is still at its best when raw talent meets powerful personal stories. From voices that stopped the judges in their tracks to performances fueled by resilience, vulnerability, and heart, the night was packed with moments that felt impossible to forget. These three “American Idol” season 24 auditions stood out not just for vocal ability, but for the way each singer connected with the judges, the audience, and the music itself. Check out the videos below in our “American Idol” spoilers.

1. Jesse Findling

Jesse Findling is 19 years old. He is a college student who grew up singing with his siblings. Jesse has a stutter, but that is what drove him to have a love of music. He said growing up, he would hide his stutter and was embarrassed by it, but when he sang, it just went away.

For his audition, he sang “In the Stars” by Benson Boone. For me, this was the first goosebumps I got this season. You could feel the emotion while he was singing. His voice is so strong, and I am an instant fan! It’s a standing ovation from the judges.

For the judges, Luke said he is a real singer. Carrie said his voice is beautiful. He has a beautiful vibrato and tone. Lionel said the only issue he’ll have is figuring out how to navigate his career. No doubt here, but it’s three yes votes, and Jesse is headed to Hollywood Week!

2. Brooks

After a compilation of auditioners with weird voices, we then meet Brooks. He works in the dementia care field and has a weird tone to his voice while talking. Brooks said he has performed his guitar at gigs, but never sang at them. However, he sings for his dementia care patients, which he started doing when singing for his grandma. He said he has no experience performing in front of people.

For his audition, he sang “Your Place At My Place” by Joshua Slone. He had that high-pitched voice, but continues for his singing voice, and it totally works. You can tell he has nerves, but he definitely has a good voice. The judges give him another chance to sing more, and he blows them away again. This kid is good!

For the judges, Luke said he just wants to hear more. No matter what he sings, it’s going to be beautifully unique. Carrie said he is a unicorn and it’s really beautiful. Lionel said it’s so good. He has not heard another voice like this ever. Luke said thank you for being in our lives. It’s an easy one here, as Brooks is headed to Hollywood Week on “American Idol” 2026.

3. Khloe Grace

To start this audition, we see Aubreigh Paige Wyatt’s mother come out to introduce Khloe. Aubreigh was a 13-year-old girl who took her life because of bullying. Khloe wrote a song for Aubreigh, which her mother said just fit so well. She has not met Khloe, but they will meet for the first time today. Khloe didn’t know Aubreigh, but she said the song just came to her, and she had to get it out.

She sang the song, “Forever 13,” for her audition. The lyrics are amazing. It’s a very emotional song, especially with mom standing right there. It’s a very powerful moment.

For the judges, Lionel said he was so moved, and it was just a moving moment. Carrie said she showed so much maturity. How she had her heart broken for someone she didn’t even know, and say something positive is going to come out of it. Luke said this shows a potential in her as a singer and songwriter, and someone who can do good in this world. It’s three definite yeses from the judges, as she is headed to Hollywood Week.
