Best Ohana Round Performances From ‘American Idol’ Season 24 [VIDEO]

We had the first-ever Ohana Round on “American Idol” 2026 last night on ABC. The night started with 30 singers, but 10 of those contestants would be eliminated in Hawaii. Yes, the Top 20 on “American Idol” season 24 was determined last night, but who had the best performances of the night on “American Idol” last night? Check out our picks from the Ohana Round and the videos below in our “American Idol” spoilers.

1. Kyndal Inskeep

Before her performance, she talks about her mother. She wrote this song for her mom and how she let her go when she was 18, explore and hit the rock bottom she needed, but then was there with open arms when she came back. Kyndal has to take the top spot for this night, as this song, called “Woman Of Me,” is perfect. The lyrics are great, and not a dry eye in the place. Her voice is outstanding, too, and I am a fan.

For the judges, Carrie said she just wants to hear more of her songs. She’s such a great storyteller, and she has the voice to back it all up.

2. Jordan McCullough

For his performance, he sang “Grandma’s Hands” by Bill Withers. If there was something that Jordan was going to do last night, it was take us to church. There was so much emotion in this performance. When he kicked it up a notch, something took over him. This was such a strong start to the night, and his vocals were on point.

For the judges, Lionel Richie said I don’t know what happened to you in Hawaii, but let the congregation say, “Amen!”

3. Makiyah

We started the night going to church, and we ended the night at church again. This performance by Makiyah was outstanding. She was feeling those lyrics, and it was so, so powerful. She just rose up the rankings with this performance.

For the judges, Luke said she came here to kill. It was so emotional, and it showed everybody what you can do.

4. Genevieve Heyward

She dedicates this one to her father on “American Idol” 2026, who is out in the audience. Again, watching these family members get all emotional in the audience makes these performances even more special. Genevieve sings “Your Song” by Elton John. I loved how she rearranged it and made it her own. She has a great vibe and great vocals on this one.

For the judges, for her to hold on and keep in control of that is amazing.

5. Julián Kalel

This is a great song. Of course, it’s an original song that Julián wrote. It starts slow, but I love it when the beat kicks in. I think this is the type of song that would take off and can be played on the radio. He has a great voice and has great talent.

For the judges, Luke said he is so solid. He has the star magic, and one of his favorite performances of the night.

6. Jesse Findling

Jesse dedicates this one to his grandpa, who used to take all the photographs when they were growing up. He can’t be here now, but he knows he’s watching down on him. This was a great vocal. I just love how he has a stutter, but then has such control of his voice when he sings. Another solid performance by Jesse.

For the judges, Carrie said it’s honest, real, believable, and it’s just beautiful.
