Angelina Jolie May Sell ‘Legendary’ $30 Million Mansion to Madonna — See the Home That’s Part of Hollywood History

Back in May, news started buzzing about the fact that Angelina Jolie had decided to put her impressive estate up for sale and was asking almost $30 million for the celebrity-worthy home. Although the dwelling has lingered on the market in the months since, it now looks like a fellow famous figure might be snapping up the enviable property.

That’s because Madonna has shown interest in buying Jolie’s mansion, which happens to be a residence that’s part of Hollywood history.

Madonna Has Toured Angelina’s Mansion… Kind Of

“Angelina Jolie’s glamorous California estate has caught the eye of Madonna, who may soon be back in the City of Angels,” New York Post’s Gimme Shelter recently reported. “The music superstar, who just celebrated her 68th birthday in Greece, expressed interest in viewing the ‘Couture’ star’s Los Feliz estate even though she wasn’t in LA to see it in the flesh.”

Instead, the brokers who are representing the property managed to set up a virtual video tour for Madonna so that she could get a good look at the abode that she might decide to call her new home. A source told Gimme Shelter, “Madonna’s people called up and the tour was arranged.”

The insider also noted that when it comes to the exclusive neighborhood where the estate can be found — Laughlin Park gated community in Los Angeles’ Los Feliz area — it is a “wonderful colony in the upper Hollywood Hills with a lot of celebrity power.”

Of course, the home offers much more than just a fabulous location and famous neighbors. It also features quite a bit of space both inside and outside, plenty of top-notch amenities and a link to two show business legends.

Angelina’s Home Is ‘a Piece of Hollywood History’

As we mentioned, Jolie is asking just under $30 million for her Los Angeles home — $29,850,000, to be exact. For that price, the new owner (perhaps Madonna?) will get to enjoy 6 bedrooms and 10 full bathrooms in the mansion that spans 11,000 square feet.

The “legendary” estate, which was once the home of filmmaker Cecil B. DeMille, “is now discretely being offered, marking a once-in-a-generation opportunity to own a piece of Hollywood history — an iconic compound from which Hollywood’s future was shaped, and where Mr. DeMille helped define the industry as the entertainment capital of the world,” according to the listing from Sotheby’s International Realty.

That’s not to overlook the fact that the original property was combined with the neighboring Dodd residence, which was once the home of silent film era star Charlie Chaplin.

Inside of the mansion, residents can appreciate the spacious layout, the chic style and the various details that Jolie has taken advantage of while using the home as her primary residence since she first bought it in 2017 for $24.5 million, less than a year after she filed for divorce from her now-former husband Brad Pitt, Realtor.com notes.

Outside, the property boasts around two acres of land, with the listing telling those who might be interested in purchasing it that the estate boasts “[t]owering century-old trees” and “rolling lawns,” as well as a guest house, pool house, tea house, fitness studio and lots of privacy.
