There’s no doubt that “Shark Tank” star and savvy investor Barbara Corcoran is a real estate expert. That’s why you might have wondered what kind of dwelling she calls home. Fortunately for those who are curious, she’s offered her social media followers a look at her New York City apartment.
Granted, although she’s just weeks from moving in, the residence is still in the midst of a major renovation.
3 Weeks Until Corcoran Moves Into the Currently Unfinished Home
Corcoran took to Instagram on Tuesday, May 12, and shared a tour of her “dream apartment.” Of course, her soon-to-be idyllic abode doesn’t exactly look as fabulous as it surely will due to the ongoing renovations.
“3 weeks until I move into my dream apartment!” Corcoran wrote in the text that appeared in the first slide of a gallery, which also showed the undone nature of the space.
In the second slide, you can see the star’s bedroom. She explained why a bed could be seen in the short recording, saying, “My bedroom is far from finished, but I couldn’t wait any longer to spend the night… so for now, it’s a bit makeshift until everything comes in.”
According to the images, Corcoran will get to enjoy a walkin closet with special lighting, while her daughter, Kate Higgins, will be able to use a bathroom with tile that “looks like a built-in rug.”
“And her bedroom is getting the final paint touches,” the pleased mom noted in another slide. “I can’t wait for her big green chair to come in.”
That’s not to overlook the fact that Corcoran gave fans a good glimpse at her home’s wrap-around terrace and the incredible view.
“The final countdown is on and I couldn’t be happier,” she added. “Follow along for the finishing touches.”
Corcoran’s Home Even Gives Her a View of the Met Gala
If you follow Corcoran on social media, then you might be aware of the fact that she “first clued in followers to her major renovation last fall,” according to People. “In a November 24 Instagram Reel, the self-described ‘Queen of New York Real Estate’ gave a full tour inside her ‘new apartment’ before starting a ‘proper makeover.'”
As you might expect, she didn’t stop at just one post. “Over the last six months, Corcoran has provided occasional updates on the project on social media,” People notes. “In the videos, she frequently sought out advice and insight from followers on some crucial decisions, like tile choices, tearing down walls and expanding the doorway to her terrace with a Central Park view.”
The terrace also gives her a direct view of the Met Gala, which she revealed in a post that she popped up on May 4.
Beyond that, Corcoran has given her followers a look at “what work has yet to be done, including building the kitchen arch, installing wallpaper, furniture delivery, as well as crown molding and kitchen tile installation,” per People.
On May 5, she shared a video, in which she told her fans, “The moment I saw my new apartment, I just knew one thing I was going to do right away: take the wall down between the dining room and the kitchen and look at it now. Wide open and spacious and all the light flooding through, I know it’s going to be stunning.”
