Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden made an exciting announcement on Monday, May 4, when they revealed that they have welcomed their third child into the world. As the group settles into being a family of five, you might be wondering what kind of dwelling suits both a celebrity couple and their kids.
Well, they happen to live in a stunning Montecito mansion that’s worth $15 million, according to Realtor.com. On top of that, they own a massive Beverly Hills farmhouse.
The Montecito Mansion Offers Privacy and Luxury
Now, the parents of their newborn son, Nautas, as well as their six-year-old daughter, Raddix, and two-year-old son, Cardinal, Diaz and Madden bought their Montecito home in 2022 for $12.7 million.
The “property is thought to serve as the couple’s primary residence, where Diaz soaked up much of her free time during her extended break from acting, which she announced in 2018 and, she later revealed, gave her an opportunity to focus on the things that really matter most — specifically building her family,” Realtor.com explained.
Although the couple previously lived in Beverly Hills, Realtor.com notes that their Montecito home “offer[s] the couple something that their former residence [did] not: complete and utter privacy.”
“For years, the Santa Barbara enclave has provided an idyllic retreat for Hollywood’s biggest stars seeking to enjoy the same kind of luxury that is offered in Los Angeles, but without the constant threat of paparazzi and prying eyes that so often accompanies a life in the heart of Hollywood,” per Realtor.com.
As for the house itself, Realtor.com mentions the fact that the “home offers more than enough space for their growing family, spanning more than 10,800 square feet, including six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms — while also boasting around two acres of land for the couple and their kids to enjoy,” as well as ocean, island and mountain views.
Cameron and Benji Also Own a Beverly Hills Farmhouse
Beyond Diaz and Madden’s Montecito mansion, the pair also own a farmhouse in Beverly Hills. Picking up the home in 2020, they paid $14.7 million for the impressive abode, according to Realtor.com.
With seven bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, the sizable home offers its residents over 9,200 square feet of living space.
Despite all that it has to offer, the duo attempted to sell the property in July 2024, when they popped it onto the market for $17.8 million. At the time, it was described by the listing (via Realtor.com) as a “sophisticated custom architectural farmhouse estate” that boasts a “lush” piece of land.
When they didn’t find a buyer for the farmhouse, they lowered the price to $16.5 million in May 2025. Still unable to bring in a new owner at that amount, the stars decided to take the listing down.
While “[i]t’s unclear how much the A-listers are actually using the … home,” Realtor.com notes that “it would serve as the perfect Los Angeles area home base should they ever need to be a little closer to Hollywood, either for work or a red carpet event.”
