Madden didn’t share a photo of their newborn, but instead posted a picture of a ship, explaining the meaning behind baby Nautus’ name. “Sailor, navigator, voyager. One who embarks on a journey and fears not the unknown,” the text read.
Diaz, on the other hand, commented on the sweet post with stars and heart emojis.
Many took to the comments to celebrate the couple’s happy news. Someone commented, “Biggest cool dad flex with the one piece announce. Welcome, Nautas, to the world. Legendary status awaits.”
Another wrote, “What wonderful news to hear of your little family growing! Getting to enjoy this journey of a new baby is so incredible & leaves you speechless. Just taking in this new member of the family.”
Another chimed in, “Oh snap! This is amazing news! Congratz @benjaminmadden and @camerondiaz.”
Cameron and Madden are already proud parents to daughter Raddix and son Cardinal.
Cameron Diaz Gets Real About Motherhood
GettyIn 2020, Diaz opened up about being a first-time mother at 47. In an interview with Naomi Campbell, the “Outcome” star revealed the pressure of being a parent in the “second half” of her life.
“A lot of people do it the other way around … they get married [and] have a family in their youth,” Diaz said in an episode of “No Filter.” “I’m kind of doing it in the second half of my life.”
She continued, “The only pressure for me now is I have to live to be, like, 107, you know? No pressure!”
Diaz’s journey to motherhood wasn’t easy. After marrying Madden in 2015, the couple spent years trying to start a family before ultimately welcoming their first child, a daughter, via surrogate.
“They went through so much to get to this point,” a source told Us Weekly. “Cameron feels like this baby is truly a miracle.”
Another source told the outlet that at the time, Diaz and Madden had been trying for a baby by IVF, acupuncture, and supplements.
“It just hasn’t worked out yet. … They don’t know exactly what it will look like, whether it will be natural or through adoption or surrogacy, but they aren’t giving up. It’s been a roller coaster of emotions, yet they still believe there will be a happy ending.”
