Beloved comedian Andy Richter has consistently been scored at the bottom of the pack throughout his “Dancing with the Stars” Season 34 journey. Despite this, he has given it all every week and has shown that he is really willing to learn alongside professional dance partner, Emma Slater.
Andy Richter’s Fans Are Invested in His DWTS Journey
Richter may not be the strongest dancer in the competition, but he is loved because of his wonderful personality. For Dedication Night on Tuesday, October 14, he showed a more vulnerable side to his personality when he performed a salsa routine to “Jump In the Line” by Harry Belafonte. He dedicated his performance to his adorable daughter Cornelia.
The judges were impressed with Richter, and he scored 24 out of 40. Despite not being at the top of the leaderboard, fans were won over by Richter and Slater once again. The comment section of a post about their performance, which was shared on the official “Dancing with the Stars” account, has been flooded with warm reactions.
“The matching outfits,” a comment reads. “OMMGGG THIS WAS SO CUTE,” another person shared. Other fans praised Richter for his “improvement.”
“SEE YOU IMPROVING ANDY. WE LOVE YOU,” a fan wrote. “Congrats cornelia you just saved your dad another week,” another person reacted.

Ahead of Show Day, Slater posted an adorable video on Instagram giving a sneak peek into her and Richter’s performance with Cornelia. “This is Andy’s daughter, Cornelia! She’s going to be in a dance this week, and we cannot be more excited! We’ve had a week of illness and I’ll be honest with you, it’s been hard and I’m so appreciative for @richtercommaandy for all of the hard work and commitment he has put into learning this salsa,” Slater wrote on Monday, October 13.
She continued, “I know how happy he is to be dancing with Cornelia and for them to have this moment together. It’s going to be so special for both of these princesse and for me also!”
Fans flooded the comment section with supportive messages, sharing that they would be voting to keep Richter and his daughter in the competition. “ALRIGHT SQUAD, TIME TO VOTE UP FOR CORNELIA!!! ..I MEAN ANDY,” a comment reads. “I’m so glad we have kept saving Andy,” another person shared.
Slater also captured an adorable moment between father and daughter as they sat on a sofa, and Cornelia excitedly told her father something. “This week we have little Cornelia in our dance and we are so excited to share the floor with her (captured this sweet moment today) @richtercommaandy,” Slater wrote in the caption on Instagram.
