We love a supportive big sister, and Brooks Nader is already proving to have her little sister’s back!
The model is showing support for her younger sister Sarah Jane Nader after it was officially announced that she’ll be competing on season 35 of “Dancing With the Stars.” Brooks knows a thing or two about stepping onto the ballroom floor, having competed on the show herself last season with pro Gleb Savchenko. The pair made headlines for their highly publicized romance, and now Brooks is back in the DWTS world, making sure that her little sister has a positive and fun-filled experience on the show.
Brooks Nader Gets Protective of Little Sister Sarah Jane Nader as She Makes Her DWTS Debut
GettyAfter the official cast of “Dancing With the Stars” season 35 was revealed, Brooks Nader shared a big-sister warning to viewers as her younger sister, Sarah Jane Nader, makes her ballroom debut.
“So here’s the thing … You guys can say whatever you want about me; literally, actually I quite enjoy it, to be totally honest,” she begins. “If you ever say a [expletive] word about my little sister, it’s not gonna be pretty. OK?”
“I know there’s freedom of speech. I’m all about it. But just don’t [expletive] with her, OK? Say it about me. All day. Tag me in it. But don’t say a [expletive] word about my sweet baby sister.”
On Wednesday, September 2, the cast for season 35, both professional dancers and their celebrity partners, were announced on “Good Morning America.” Sarah Jane Nader, who had been rumored to join the cast, was confirmed as a contestant and will compete alongside pro dancer Hailey Bills.
Their partnership marks the second time in DWTS history that two women have been paired together. The first came in Season 30, when Jenna Johnson and JoJo Siwa made history as the first all-female pairing.
Sarah Jane Shares the Advice Brooks Gave Her Before Making Her DWTS Debut
GettySpeaking to Us Weekly, Sarah shared the sisterly advice Brooks gave her before competing on DWTS. And, unsurprisingly, Brooks had one specific warning: Don’t do anything she did, aka, stay away from a showmance!
“She told me not to do anything she did, which is fine,” Sarah joked. “She really just said to enjoy every moment and, like, soak it up and embrace the challenging [side] of it all. [She said] don’t be scared to embarrass yourself. And so I’m really just leaning in.”
Sarah told the outlet that she wasn’t thinking about her sister’s past romance with her former DWTS partner Gleb Savchenko as she prepares for the competition. “I mean, I think we’re really locked in on the dance of it all, and like, it’s a lot to think about already.”
Luckily for Sarah, she won’t have to see Savchenko, either. The pro was not asked to return to season 35, which makes things a lot less awkward for Sarah. In an Instagram post, a shirtless Savchenko addressed not returning to the show: “Guys, I promise… I’m good 😂❤️. Nothing but love and gratitude for all the years in that ballroom. Excited for this next chapter — and wishing everyone an amazing season 🪩.”
