“Dancing With the Stars” pro Val Chmerkovskiy has nothing but praise for his new dance partner, influencer Alix Earle. Chmerkovskiy took to Instagram to share a video of him and Earle rehearsing, and his caption was the sweetest.
“Alix represents millions of people that would never think of ballroom dance as something they can or should do,” the dancer began. “As someone who has committed his life to the craft the opportunity to teach such an exceptional human my passion and see her absolutely fall in love with it, is my absolute privilege.”
He continued, “Thank you @dancingwiththestars for trusting me with such important cargo. I will do my best. Everyday. I’m motivated by alix, by dance, and by the opportunity to share it with so many of you. I hope you enjoy our little journey. It goes by fast. @alix_earle thanks 🙏🏼”

Val Chmerkovskiy & Alix Earle Have a Playful Rapport
“Dancing With the Stars” officially announced the season 34 celebrity cast and pro pairings last week, but it was confirmed that Earle would be competing back in May. The model and social media star revealed on “Good Morning America” that she’d always dreamed of being a part of the show.
“I’ve always been a fan of ‘Dancing with the Stars,’” she said. “I used to watch it when I was so young with my grandma, and she would always say to me, ‘Maybe one day you could be on there.’”
Earle and Chmerkovskiy seem to make a great pairing so far, as the two appear to have a good-natured rapport. During a press event for “DWTS,” Chmerkovskiy took the mic from People‘s reporter and did his own mini interview with Earle.
“How excited are you for ‘Dancing With the Stars?'” he asked, to which she jokingly replied, “I was excited until I found out that Val was my partner … ” Chmerkovskiy then cut in and pretended the microphone had stopped working.
Chmerkovskiy Will Compete Against Wife Jenna Johnson
GettyVal Chmerkovskiy is married to fellow “DWTS” pro dancer Jenna Johnson and the couple share an adorable son, Rome. For season 34 of the show, Chmerkovskiy and Earle will have some stiff competition, including Johnson and her partner actor Corey Feldman.
On an episode of “The Squeeze” podcast, Johnson and Chmerkovskiy discussed how they felt about each other getting close with their respective dance partners. “I think watching him dance with another girl … as an artist, never affected me,” Johnson shared.
