“Dancing With the Stars” contestant Elaine Hendrix and her partner Alan Bersten are super confident heading into season 34. The “Parent Trap” actor and the dance pro are keeping mum about their first performance, but they’re promising it’ll be a good one.
“Our first dance is going to be phenomenal,” Hendrix said during an interview with “Extra.” And Bersten co-signed the statement, pointing to the camera and saying, “You heard it here first, ‘Extra.'”
Hendrix, 54, added, “It’s gonna be voteworthy.”
Hendrix & Bersten Praised Each Other’s Talent
It seems Hendrix and Bersten are really hitting it off, and the dance pair had nothing but compliments for one another. “I have the best partner,” the actor gushed, adding, “And I bet everyone’s gonna come through here and say that, but I really do.”
When asked how Hendrix was faring during ballroom rehearsals, Bersten was full of praise. “She’s doing phenomenal,” he shared. “We’re having a blast, but on top of that she’s doing such a good job with coping with the dancing and just giving everything she has.”
According to Bersten, who took home the Mirrorball Trophy in season 28 with partner Hannah Brown, Hendrix is really dedicated to the competition. “From the very beginning, she was just like ‘go for it, as hard as you can, if we need to pull back we can pull back.’ We have not needed to pull back.”
Hendrix & Bersten Performed a Hilarious Lip-Sync During Rehearsal
The dance pair looks to be having the best time together, even taking a break from rehearsals to film an iconic lip-sync. Bersten and Hendrix posted a video on Instagram lip-syncing a scene from one of Hendrix’s fan-favorite ’90s movies “Superstar.”
In the film, which starred “SNL” alums Molly Shannon and Will Ferrell, Hendrix played mean cheerleader Evian. “One of my favorite movies. SUPERSTAR! And the actual EVIAN is my partner!!!” Bersten captioned the post.
The video was a hit with fans, including the “Dancing With the Stars” official account who commented, “CINEMATIC 👏👏👏.” Former “DWTS” pro Gleb Savchenko loved it as well, commenting, “😂😂😂.” Another fan hit the nail on the head when they commented, “Millennials for Elaine!!! 💖💖💖.”
Joking around aside, Hendrix and Bersten have been putting in a lot of work on the dance floor, and Hendrix is feeling the pain. She told “Extra,” “I’m really, really sore … but that comes with the territory … I haven’t ended up in the hospital yet.”
