Christmas came early for “Dancing with the Stars” fans. On Dec. 2, ABC aired the show’s first-ever holiday special, “Dancing with the Holidays.” The one-hour special featured beloved pro dancers and past celebrity competitors reuniting for a night of holiday magic on the ballroom floor.
For one special dance, popular pro dancer Emma Slater reunited with her past “Dancing With the Stars” partners Andy Richter and Reginald VelJohnson for a routine to the song “All I Want For Christmas (Is My Two Front Teeth)”—and fans were losing it.
Fans Reacted to Emma Slater’s Adorable Christmas Dance With Andy Richter & Reginald VelJohnson
For the dance, Slater appeared onstage with full dancers Brandon Armstrong, Jenna Johnson, Carter Williams, Jaxon Willard, Hailey Bills, and Onye Stevenson to perform to a version of the Christmas classic by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. Richter and VelJohnson soon appeared, dressed as teeth for the performance.
A post on the official DWTS Instagram account teased, “Looks like Emma’s holiday wish came true! What an adorable routine from Emma and her two front teeth, Andy and Reggie 🦷 🥰 #DWTSHoliday #DWTS.
Slater commented with, “I love my teeth so bad 😍.”
Fans agreed, with many calling the dance “cute” and “adorable.”

“The way I screamed when Andy and Reggie came out as the teeth,” another fan wrote.
“This was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen,” a third fan agreed.

Emma Slater Teased the Reunion Days Before the Performance
Slater gave fans a sneak peek at the reunion days before the holiday special aired on ABC. The professional dancer shared a spoof video clip of her two former partners coming face-to-face during rehearsals and mouthing lines from the movie “Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me.”
“A couple of icons together 🙌🏻 how lucky am I?!! @richtercommaandy #ReggieVeljohnson laughed so hard at this!! 😂😂😂😂,” Slater captioned the clip.
When Slater was partnered with VelJohnson, 73, in season 33, they were eliminated in Week 4. Her Season 34 partnership with Richter, 59, lasted nine weeks.
In the past, there have been rumors that Slater is purposely paired with older males so she’ll be free from the TV competition earlier and can plan and choreograph the annual DWTS Live tour.
According to Us Weekly, Slater responded to a fan comment with, “This is a rumor just FYI. Not sure how it got started! I definitely don’t plan or choreograph the tour.”
