Ezra Sosa Receives a Queerty For “Best Reality TV Star”
“Dancing With the Stars” fans adore Ezra Sosa for many reasons. He’s incredibly talented, but also brings a lot of fun to the table as he expands the show’s social media presence.
Recently, Ezra learned he’d won a Queerty Award for “Best Reality TV Star.” Many other LGBTQ+ reality stars were nominated for the honor, including Gabby Windey and “Selling Sunset” star Chrishell Stause.
The official Queerty Awards Instagram account posted a video of Ezra thanking and addressing voters for the award.
“Hey guys! I’m so sorry I couldn’t make it. I’m currently on tour in Charleston, but I just wanted to take the time and thank every single person that voted for me,” Ezra addressed his fans. “This truly means the world and if I were tell my younger self that I would be getting a Queerty, I truly wouldn’t believe it.”
Above all else, the dancer wants to share messages of hope and support to all other members of the Queer community.
“Being in the position that I am, it takes a lot of courage but also it takes a support system that got me to where I am today,” Ezra continued. “And I know and recognize that there are so many people in the queer community who do not have that same support system that I have. This award goes out to all those people who may not have that support system. And I’m here to tell you that if you don’t feel the most comfortable in your own skin, there is a place for you out there. Thank you again.”
Fans Hope to See the Utah Dancer Back This Fall
“Dancing With the Stars” pros don’t receive an invitation for the next season until the end of the summer. However, many fans fully expect Ezra Sosa to join the cast again for season 35.
After finishing in last place with Anna Delvey in season 33, Ezra made it to the finale with Jordan Chiles in season 34. Viewers hope he finally gets his Mirrorball trophy this fall.
“DWTS” likely will return to ABC this September.
