Taylor Swift fans who watch โDancing with the Starsโ are hoping to get the ultimate crossover this fall.
While the show has featured a Taylor Swift theme night in the past, there now are rumors that Jan Ravnik, a popular Eras Tour dancer and choreographer, could be joining the ABC celebrity ballroom show as a pro dancer.
DWTS insider Kristyn Burtt fueled the rumorsย on TikTokย while teasing a โnew eraโ for the show after a follower asked if there would be any new pro dancers for Season 34.
Kristyn Burtt Confirmed Someone New Is Joining DWTS
In her video, Burtt confirmed that a new male dancer will join DWTS for Season 34. โThe answer is yes, there is a new face on the male pro roster,โ Burtt said, after noting that producers have their eye on how the show will shape up for seasons to come.
โI will tell you that this person is not in the โDancing with the Starsโ universe, per se,โ she added. โI will say that they are high profile in the dance industry. And they are โDancing With the Starsโ adjacent.โ
โI think itโs a great addition, Iโm kind of excited because I think thereโs gonna be a big reaction to this. Any guesses?โ she asked.
Burtt then teased, โThe last couple of years have been a start of a new era for โDancing With the Stars.
When a follower commented, โOooh could it be someone from the eras tour? I would love to see Jan Ravnik, his dance w Jenna was incredible!! ๐งก,โ Burtt replied with, โWe have a winner!!!โ
Ravnik was a dancer on Swiftโs Eras tour from March 2023 to December 2024, and he frequently posted about it on Instagram. He hails from Slovenia but moved to the U.S. to pursue his dream of becoming a dancer, per Us Weekly.
Burttโs tease comes less than two weeks after longtime pro Gleb Savchenko confirmed he was not asked back to the show for Season 34.
Jan Ravnik Recently Danced With Jenna Johnson & Is Followed by Derek Hough
The buzz about Ravnik comes a few weeks after he posted a video of himself dancing with longtime DWTS pro dancer Jenna Johnson. โHappier than ever,โ he captioned the clip.
The comments were also telling.
โUnreal,โ commented DWTS Season 33 winner Joey Graziadei.
โThe crossover we needed ๐ฅโค๏ธ,โ came a comment from the official Eras Tour Dancers page.
Johnsonโs husband, Val Chmerkovskiy, also gave the post a “like” via a series of heart and fire emoji.
In addition, DWTS judge Derek Hough follows Ravnikโs Instagram page.
ABC has not yet confirmed Ravnikโs casting. The full cast for “Dancing With the Stars” Season 34 will be revealed Sept. 3 on โGood Morning America.โ
