For many years now, the world has known “Shotgun Wedding” star Josh Duhamel as a movie star and leading man. But perhaps his most loved and treasured title, however, is being a dad.
Duhamel is a proud dad to two boys: his 12-year-old son Axl Jack, whom he shares with ex-wife Fergie, and his two-year-old son Shepherd, whom he shares with wife, model and TV host Audra Mari. Currently, he’s also expecting his first daughter with Mari, who recently announced the news.
Josh Duhamel Can’t Wait to Be a Girl Dad
In a new interview with “Dancing With the Stars” judge Derek Hough for ExtraTV, Duhamel shared his excitement over expecting his and Mari’s latest bundle of joy.
“I don’t know what to make of it,” he said of becoming a girl dad. “I’m just so — I cannot wait to meet her.”
“And I think there’s something about dads and their little girls,” he continued. “It’s different, you know?”
Hough, who welcomed a baby girl named Everley Capri Hough on December 29, 2025, with his wife Hayley Erbert, couldn’t agree more.
“There’s a softness there, like it melts you,” Hough said. “Having a girl is pretty incredible man.”
Audra Mari Announced Her Second Pregnancy in a Stunning Photoshoot
Mari, who has been married to Duhamel since 2022, announced the news of her pregnancy on Instagram on March 5.
“Adding a little girl to our story..,” she wrote in the caption. “We can’t wait to meet you 🤍 @joshduhamel.”
In the black and white photos, Mari is showing off her bump in a white button-down shirt and short shorts and in a white cropped top and unbuttoned jeans.
In the comments, Duhamel showed some love to his glowing wife. “Can’t wait to meet that little cutie💕,” he wrote. “Love you momma.”
Fergie also showed her support. “Welcome the cuteness! 💖💖” the Black Eyed Peas singer wrote.
Followers of model also chimed in to celebrate the big news. “Stunning! She’s going to be beautiful like her mama!💖” wrote one follower. “So happy for you guys!!!” another user wrote in the comments. “How lucky is she to have such a strong and beautiful role model as a mom 😘💕.”
Since the news, Mari showed off her bump on the red carpet at the premiere of Duhamel’s new film, “Preschool,” on March 16. She look radiant in a flowy patterned dress and matching boots.
