The 37-year-old “Dancing with the Stars” co-host hilariously sported a bald look during the show’s Halloween episode on Tuesday, October 28, after Derek Hough vowed to shave his head if he won People magazine’s “Sexiest 40-Year-Old” in the magazine’s 2025 Sexiest Man Alive Reader’s Choice Poll.

“Someone had to do it…. @derekhough 😜 #dwts,” Julianne wrote on Instagram, joking that her “head’s cold” in the comments. She also shared the photos on Facebook with the caption, “@derekhough wouldn’t shave his, so I did. #DWTS.”
Derek Wins People’s Sexiest 40-Year-Old — But Refuses to Shave

Ribeiro, 54, then played a throwback clip Derek had posted earlier, opening a package revealing his nomination. In the video, Derek joked that he’d shave his head if he actually won, thinking it was unlikely. As Ribeiro appeared behind him with clippers in hand, Derek mouthed, “No way.”
After the reveal, Derek doubled down on his hesitation, later asking fans on Instagram Stories whether he should go through with the buzzcut.

“I’m not David Beckham!” Derek repeated as Erbert showed Beckham’s photo onscreen. “That could look really good,” she said, but Derek wasn’t convinced. “I’m not that man. I’m just not. So guys, right now, yes, no, what do you think?” he asked followers in a poll.

Tuesday’s spooky “DWTS” episode featured elaborate costumes, haunting choreography, and Julianne’s viral bald cap moment that had fans in stitches.
The longtime dancer has co-hosted the competition show alongside Ribeiro since 2023, while Derek has been a judge since 2020. Off the dance floor, he recently revealed that his dream “DWTS” partner would be Kristen Bell.
“You know, when people have always asked me in the past, they’ll be like, ‘Who would be your dream partner on Dancing with the Stars?’” Derek said in an interview with Bell and her “Nobody Wants This” co-star, Adam Brody. “And I’m gonna be honest with you, Kristen, you’ve been my number one for a while.”
Bell was visibly surprised. “What? Derek, do you know that I tip over all the time, like even just watching?” she said with a laugh.
