“Dancing with the Stars” alum Kaitlyn Bristowe, who won Season 29 alongside professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev, is asking fans for their support and prayers as she shares devastating news about the health of her beloved stepdad, Rob.
Kaitlyn Bristowe Reveals the Status of Her Stepdad’s Cancer
On Saturday, August 30, Bristowe made a heartfelt post on Instagram. She shared several photos, the first shows her fishing, and the text reads, “prayers please.” Other images show her spending time with her mom, Leslie, and her stepdad, Rob. They are beautiful, happy photos, but the accompanying caption tells a much sadder story.
“About 8 months ago, I asked everyone to pray for my step dad, Rob. I didn’t say why, but he was diagnosed with cancer and he was going into surgery to get it removed,” she wrote. “Your prayers worked and they had gotten it all. He then went back for a follow up scan, and it has moved into his stomach. He is now battling an incurable stage 4 cancer. We are all devastated.”
She remains hopeful, praising Rob for his incredible strength and noting how she feels the power of prayer could potentially alter the outcome. “I do believe he will beat the time line given because he’s a stubborn strong warrior with a passion for life,” she wrote. “But I really do believe in the power of prayer, the power of manifestation, and the power of love. So please send it all his way. He means the world to me and our blended family.”
Bristowe also revealed that she had been back home in Canada for a few days to spend time with family. “It was really special to spend the last few days playing cards, eating home cooked meals, and just telling each other how much we cherish our families relationship. Time is so precious,” she concluded.

Bristowe competed on “The Bachelor” Season 19 for the affection of Chris Soules. She later had her own season of “The Bachelorette.” She shares much of her life with fans, and they have gotten a glimpse into her close relationship with Rob over the years. Now, fans are rallying around the reality TV star and showing their love and support.
