Lindsay Arnold Talks New Career After Leaving ‘Dancing With the Stars’

Dancing With the Stars” season 25 champion Lindsay Arnold will always have a fondness for the ballroom world. But in recent years, she’s taken a step back from “DWTS” to focus on other endeavors.

Like many other dancers on the show, the 32-year-old took some time to focus on her growing family. She returned to compete on season 30 with “The Bachelor” star Matt James. After their elimination, Lindsay felt pulled to make a major transition in her life.

See what she had to say about leaving “DWTS” to focus on her own business.

Right now, Lindsay Arnold and her husband, Sam Cusick, are the parents of two daughters: Sage, 5, and June, 2. They’re currently expecting their third child this year, a son.

While parenthood certainly consumes quite a bit of Lindsay’s time, she also forged a new career after leaving “Dancing With the Stars.”

Today, Lindsay leads The Movement Club: At Home Workouts. She recently appeared on “Good Morning America” to promote her brand, which led the dancer to explain the career transition.

“Five years ago, I made the decision to step away from the only career and passion I had ever known—dancing,” Lindsay shared with her Instagram audience. “It didn’t come easy, but I knew deep down it was the right choice for me and my family. Still, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t scared. I questioned everything… who I was without it, and what could possibly come next.”

The dancer went on to share how she felt “pulled” in a new direction, even though she had no idea what the future held. Lindsay recalled being both “excited and terrified.”

“A lot has happened in these last five years, and I often think back to that version of me—new mom Lindsay, stepping into the unknown—and just feel so proud of her for trusting her instinct, even when it was hard,” she continued.

Lindsay concluded her post by stating that her journey is proof that difficult decisions sometimes unlock the greatest opportunities. She expressed gratitude for the path so far and excitement for what comes next.

Plenty of her former “DWTS” co-stars left kind words and well-wishes in the comments, including Witney Carson and Peta Murgatroyd.
