Ballas chatted with Us Weekly about his building baby fever. He visited Disneyland with his season 34 dance partner, Whitney Leavitt, and her family, husband Conner, and the couple’s three children.
“I love being here with Whitney and her family. I’m having so much fun with the kids and Conner,” Ballas told the media outlet. He added, “It makes me miss my son.”
He added, “Might need to have No. 2, know what I’m saying?”
After the “Disney Night” performances, Us Weekly circled back to check in with Ballas on his baby comments. He was asked how his wife felt about his baby comments, and he replied, “I looked at my wife and she was like, ‘[Uhhh].”
Jean may not have pounced on the idea, but Ballas shared, “We’re talking about it. We’ll get there.”

Ballas and Jean welcomed their son, Banksi Wylde, in November 2023. Shortly before Banksi’s birth, the couple released a song where they opened up about Jean experiencing a previous miscarriage.
When Ballas surprised fans by deciding to come back to compete on season 34 of “Dancing with the Stars,” he explained he was inspired to do so by his son. “I am really excited for my son to see Daddy do this,” he told Us Weekly in September.
“I love the show and I’ve been able to perform on it a couple times since I stopped…I’m like, ‘I think I got a couple more [seasons] in the tank,'” Ballas explained.
He added, “I want my son to watch me do this. Excited to be back.”
Leavitt, who also stars on Hulu’s “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” wed her husband in 2016, notes People. The couple welcomed their first child, Sedona, in 2019. Liam arrived in 2021, and they added Billy Gene in 2024.
She has spoken about how her kids are inspiring her throughout her “Dancing with the Stars” journey, as well. “Knowing they’re proud of me keeps me going, even on the hardest rehearsal days,” she told People.
“I went from being the little girl on stage waving to my parents in the audience, to now having my own kids watching me and hopefully seeing what it looks like to chase a dream with courage and heart,” Leavitt explained.
