Rumer Willis Shares Photos of Property Destruction & Unexpected Twists She’s Faced in 2025

“Dancing with the Stars” champ Rumer Willis updated fans about her life recently and revealed that December has been unexpected. 


Rumer Willis Shares a Look Into Her Life

The former DWTS competitor, who competed on and won Season 20 alongside professional dancer Val Chmerkovskiy, posted several photos on Instagram on December 22. They share a closer look at her life, including spending time with her daughter, Louetta Isley Thomas Willis, whom she nicknamed Lou. Willis shares her daughter with her ex-boyfriend, Derek Richard Thomas.

Willis and Lou can be seen enjoying time together outside and smiling for the camera. Also in the Instagram photos is Rumer’s mom, Demi Moore. In other pictures, the “What Lies Ahead” actress shows the damage to her vehicle. It appears a tree fell on her truck, damaging it. In one photo, you can see the damage, and in another, a tree lies on the car. In the caption, Rumer shared her thoughts, writing, “December so far…. apparently this year still has a few plot twists left for me.”

Fans reacted to the post with a mixture of love and curiosity. “Awwww, I have so enjoyed following your post this year, wishing you and your beautiful daughter and all your extended family and amazing peaceful and Merry Christmas,” a comment reads. “Oh no! So sorry about your truck! Better things to come in 2026!” another person wrote. 

There have also been remarks on how much Lou looks like her grandpa, Bruce Willis. “So beautiful she looks like your dad,” a comment reads. “Oooh. I see her grandpa in there a little!!!” another fan shared. 


Rumer Willis Reflects on Her DWTS Journey

Willis returned to the ballroom for “Dancing with the Stars” Season 34 when she danced the Relay Race with Dylan Efron. Fans loved to see her return, and she is so talented. The actress also shared her thoughts about the experience in an Instagram post on November 25. 

“In honor on the finale tonight here is my freestyle from 10 years ago, which is crazy, one of my favorite dances @valentin and I did,” she began her message before revealing how the show had changed her life “forever.” She continued, “I found myself and my confidence dancing on this show and fell in love with dance in a way that has stayed with me in my bones.”
