Before “Dancing With the Stars,” Jordan Chiles and Simone Biles were Olympic teammates.
Following Chiles’ “Maniac” performance for Week Two of the dance show competition, Biles sent her an encouraging three-word message.
Simone Biles on Jordan Chiles
According to Parade, the first person to speak with Chiles about her performance was Olympic teammate Biles. She then revealed what that three-word message was – and a little more.
“Right after my dance, one of my teammates, Simone. She texted me,” Chiles said to E! News. “Girl, you killed it!” And I was like, ‘thank you.'”
Those words mean the world to Chiles. She explained to E! News how vital participating in DWTS is to her.
“I love being able to understand…they are supporting me the same way I support them,” Chiles said. “They knew this was always a dream of mine.”
She then sends a message directly to her team at the end of the interview clip, “I appreciate y’all. I love you!”
Fan Reaction to Chiles’ Routine
The online reaction to Chiles’ routine was equally positive and encouraging.
“Definitely white hot contender!!” wrote one user on X.
One fan is convinced that this duo will go far this season: “Jordan and Ezra are everything, and they’re gonna go FAR this season.”
“I wasn’t sure which one was the star until I came to the comments,” wrote another user on X.

Drew Smith wrote, “Jordan and Ezra just delivered a gold medal-level performance on Dancing with the Stars One-Hit Wonders Night!”
Another user thinks Chiles has a good shot at winning it all if she keeps up with performances like this one, “she’s grown so much from that first video I saw from a technical standpoint! i haven’t seen videos of the other contestants but if she dances like this every week she might win.”
Chiles & Soza Are Moving On
Chiles and her “Star” partner are one of 12 pairs moving on to Week 3 of the competition.
DWTS judges Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba raved about Chiles’ performance, according to Parade. Their routine earned them a score of 22/30.
