Terri Irwin, the widow of the late environmentalist and television star Steve Irwin, thrilled fans by sharing a special family Easter photo from her kids’ childhood. The photo shows Bindi and Robert Irwin, who are the only pair of celebrity siblings to have both won “Dancing With the Stars,” adorably sporting bunny ears as they pose with their parents.
Fans gleefully reacted to the sweet snap, with one person declaring the clan “my favorite family for 24 years running.” Another chimed in, “I was 7 years old when he passed and I remember watching the news crying, balling my eyes out. Love you guys. You are truly incredible.”
The fan was referring to Steve’s untimely death in 2006 after he was pierced in the chest by the barb of a short-tail stingray. He was just 44 years old when the fatal accident took place while he was filming an underwater segment in the Great Barrier Reef.
Robert Irwin Previously Spoke Out About His Father Right Before ‘DWTS’ Began
GettyPeople says Robert Irwin, the reigning season 34 champion of “DWTS,” granted them an interview one day before the anniversary of his dad’s passing, which was a couple of weeks before filming for the reality competition kicked off.
The outlet says the 22-year-old told them his famous father didn’t care about being “remembered,” and was much more concerned that his message and what he stood for would leave a lasting mark.
The feature says Robert went on, “And I think people remember his message and him. I mean, he just showed what it was to truly live life at 100% and above anything else, he was just the greatest dad, always there for us. … I just hope to keep his legacy alive, his spirit, his sense of just love for life, and so if I can bring that kind of energy into the ballroom and honor him and his legacy, then I’ve done my job.”
Bindi Irwin Shared Sweet Easter Snaps of Her Daughter
On April 4, the day before Easter, Bindi shared a cute set of photos, calling the daughter she shares with husband Chandler Powell “our little koala.”
Bindi and Chandler, a former pro wakeboarder, welcomed the tot a year after their 2020 wedding. In an interview with The Local Moms Network, Bindi said her little girl is beginning to gain an interest in Steve’s documentaries. “She is also opening my eyes to a new perspective with my dad’s documentaries. I’m rewatching and reliving all these incredible moments of him, with my daughter, who is in the living room excitedly yelling ‘Crikey!’ and ‘Crocs Rule!’ ” the 27-year-old conservationist said.

That’s such a sweet picture. It’s amazing how much you can still feel their love and legacy.
