Wendy Williams made a rare public appearance on September 14! She was photographed in the front row at Bach Mai’s show during New York Fashion Week in New York City. The outing comes amid Williams’ health struggles and dementia diagnosis.

Pictures taken of Williams at the event show her smiling with Mai, and she appears to be very happy. Other images show the former talk show host sitting next to Diandra Brown and Moon Chang in the front row.
Williams, who previously competed on “Dancing with the Stars” in Season 12 in 2011, looks beautiful with a bold red lipstick. She wore a black mini dress with an oversized Gucci belt and paired her dress with black and white Chanel sneakers. To complete the monochromatic look, she painted her nails white.

Williams also posed for photos with the digital style director of Vogue.com, Leah Faye Cooper, and with the CEO of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, Steven Kolb.

She accessorized with her “W” necklace, which she has been photographed wearing several times before.

Wendy Williams Faces Health Challenges

Seeing the former “Wendy Williams Show” host look so happy and well amid her health struggles is a beautiful thing. In 2023, Williams was diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia (FTD). Her team released a statement in 2024, discussing her health and informing fans about the challenges she faces.
“As Wendy’s fans are aware, in the past, she has been open with the public about her medical struggles with Graves’ Disease and Lymphedema as well as other significant challenges related to her health,” the statement read, InStyle reports. “Over the past few years, questions have been raised at times about Wendy’s ability to process information, and many have speculated about Wendy’s condition, particularly when she began to lose words, act erratically at times, and have difficulty understanding financial transactions.”
The statement also shared that she still has her “trademark sense of humor,” and noted that she remains able to enjoy many aspects of life.
Williams remains under guardianship, which her family has questioned. “How did she go from this aunt or sister that we love and is healthy one minute to this person who’s in and out of the hospital?” Williams’ sister Wanda said in an interview with People in February 2024. “How is that system better than the system the family could put in place? This system is broken.”
