We made it to the Top 10 on “MasterChef: Global Gauntlet,” with the remaining home cooks representing the four territories (Asia-Pacific, Africa, Europe, and Americas) this season. The fight to be named the winner of “MasterChef” Season 16 continued tonight.
After a Mystery Box Challenge had the home cooks trying to create viral-worthy dishes for Nick DiGiovanni last week, the home cooks will now be pairing up for the tag team challenge. They will be tasked with recreating dishes inspired by the judges’ most cherished culinary memories. In the end, one of the teams’ dreams of winning “MasterChef” will end tonight. Week 13 Begins
We have the Top 10 back in the “MasterChef” kitchen tonight. We will provide updates as tonight’s episode airs, so keep refreshing this page for the latest results!
8:12 p.m. – Tonight’s challenge and kitchen design are inspired by the upcoming DreamWorks movie “Forgotten Island.” For this challenge, it’s a tag team challenge. The home cooks will be working in pairs, which they got to choose. They will replicate dishes from the judges: Shepherd’s Pie (Gordon), Striped Bass & Dirty Rice (Tiffany), or Veal Milanese (Joe). The two home cooks who cook the best dish will win a huge advantage for next week, as well as tickets to the premiere of “Forgotten Island.” The pair that cooks the least favorite dish of the night will be eliminated! The pairs tonight are Blue Team (Julia & Heidi), Pink Team (Dave & Jake), Gray Team (Tkaiya & Peter), Red Team (Aishu & Jaime), and Yellow Team (Foo & Basia).
8:21 p.m. – The teams are switching back and forth, as only one contestant can cook at a time. Communication is key here. Heidi forgot the egg for the potatoes, so they have to fix that error. Basia and Foo seem scattered.
8:31 p.m. – The time ran out, and these teams were stressed. Julia & Heidi seemed to drop the ball on most of the dishes. The teams are definitely worried, but tasting is coming soon.
Results on ‘MasterChef’ Season 16
8:40 p.m. – The judges have started tasting these dishes. Gray Team seemed to impress them. Blue Team was rough, and Red Team is having a rough start.
8:50 p.m. – After a terrible review for the Red Team, the Pink Team comes up and nails it. The judges loved them. Now to the final team (Yellow), which is not starting strong.
9:00 p.m. – After tasting all of the dishes, the judges discuss all of the teams tonight. The top teams tonight are the Gray and Pink teams. The winning team tonight is the Pink Team (Dave & Jake)! The Blue Team is also safe, which leaves the Yellow and Red teams in the bottom tonight. After discussions, the team eliminated tonight is the Red Team (Jaime & Aishu).
