Hallmark’s newest movie, “Absolutely Devoted to You,” premieres on Saturday, August 8, at 8 p.m. Eastern/7 p.m. Central. The movie stars Kimberley Sustad and Jesse Metcalfe. Read on to learn all about where the movie was filmed, and see behind-the-scenes moments from cast and crew.
‘Absolutely Devoted to You’ Was Filmed in Canada
“Absolutely Devoted to You” was filmed in the Vancouver, British Columbia region of Canada, including in Victoria. It was filmed under the working title “One Hit Heatwave,” according to Sleepy Kitty Paw on Bluesky. Creative BC confirms the filming.
According to UBCP/ACTRA, it was filmed from April 20 to May 8.
Michael C. Fisher posted a throwback in June to helping film the movie, writing: “a very fun movie I got to be a part of a month back with an incredible team. Truly was such a treat having so many positive and creative minds coming together.” The photo was tagged in Victoria.
Sustad shared a series of behind the scenes photos. She wrote: “This was a family affair made by so many incredible people. I miss our dance breaks. But most importantly this one’s for you…I hope it puts a smile on your face, it sure did for me. Love to you all.”
According to Moviedelic, Vancouver-based hairstylist, Jolynn Mears, made a social media post about how thankful she was to be in the movie. The post is no longer available to see, but she wrote: “I am sooo grateful to have had the opportunity to of (sic) worked on this movie the cast and crew were nothing but amazing, the memories I have will be something I will never forget. Thank you @krissyingvardsen9 for taking a chance and hiring me as ur 1st assist, and for teaching me the way!”
Meet the Cast
Hallmark’s synopsis reads: “An ambitious TV producer devises a brilliant plan to reunite a 90’s boy band for an annual summer beach bash, but her idea is derailed when she falls for the band’s reluctant lead singer.”
Kimberley Sustad is Kaitlin. She’s well known and loved among Hallmark fans, with hits like “The Nine Lives of Christmas” and its sequel, “A Godwink Christmas,” “Sense, Sensibility & Snowmen,” “Lights, Camera, Christmas!,” “Wedding Every Weekend,” and more.
Jesse Metcalfe is Derrick. He’s perhaps best known among Hallmark fans for his lead role in “Chesapeake Shores” before leaving the series. He’s also known for the “Martha’s Vineyard” mystery series and movies like “Christmas Under the Stars” and “Christmas Next Door.”

I was really disappointed not able to watch this movie on W channel. All the new movies usually are on W channel. My nephew is one of the writers. We are so proud of his accomplishments. Keep it going Matthew. Hope to see it soon. There are several seniors that can`t afford the Hallmark channel. Hoping it will be shown soon on W channel. Thank you.
Watched Absolutely Devoted to Your last night. I LOVED it. So good to see Jesse back and in rare form. His dancing (WOW) and singing (WOW). I love all the Hallmark movies. As a senior (88) but still teaching exercise programs for Seniors, it is fantastic to see good, clean movies that leave you happy and smiling. Been smiling for many years watching Hallmark. Please keep them coming and love ALL the actors. They are amazing and bring stories that are written so well to life. Love Kimberly – one of my favorites.
