Where is Ezra Moreland, the Winner of ‘Finding Mr. Christmas’ 2024?

The second season of Hallmark’s surprise 2024 hit “Finding Mr. Christmas” is set to premiere on October 27, 2025, as 10 very hunky hunks compete to become Hallmark Channel’s next leading man. The winner will land a “leading role” in a 2025 Hallmark Christmas movie, just as Ezra Moreland did in the first season.

After being crowned the winner in 2024, Moreland, 32, co-starred in the last movie of the holiday season, “Happy Howlidays,” opposite Hallmark vet Jessica Lowndes. So, where is Moreland now — and will he appear in any other Hallmark movies?

Moreland, a former U.S. Navy rescue diver turned model, won the first season of “Finding Mr. Christmas” despite not having any acting experience. Before filming “Happy Howlidays,” he had two months to learn his lines and take acting classes, he told Entertainment Weekly, and discovered a deep passion for it.

In February, he starred in a new commercial for Lexus, and in April, he revealed on social media that he was heading to Vancouver to film his second Hallmark movie.

Moreland will appear in a supporting role in the military-themed “Christmas On Duty,” per IMDb, starring Janel Parrish and Parker Young. The movie premieres on November 1 and Parrish appears on the first episode of “Finding Mr. Christmas” as the first guest judge of season two.

Ezra Moreland Says ‘Finding Mr. Christmas’ Changed His Life’s Trajectory

In September, when Moreland appeared on “The Motivation Show” podcast, he said winning “Finding Mr. Christmas” and being thrust into filming a lead role in a movie changed the trajectory of his life that he “never could have hoped or planned for.”

Although he still models, Moreland said that the experience helped him crystallize “my overall life goals” and called it a “huge blessing.”

“I am fully committed and going to do my best to get just more roles in films,” he said. “I’m still getting to work as a model … but my life goals lately is (to) fully commit and delve more into becoming a talented actor.”

Moreland, who now lives in New York City, continued, “I’m just beginning to get into this whole journey of whatever this film world entails and I’m just excited for every day and every step of the way.”

‘Finding Mr. Christmas’ Was Challenging, But Acting is Even Harder

Moreland, a fitness fanatic who regularly posts photos from his workouts (or the shirtless results of those workouts), noted that one of the reasons he’s fallen in love with acting is that it’s so difficult. The Wichita, Kansas, native said he loves a challenge and suspects he’ll always be learning how to improve his craft.

“It’s so crazy challenging to act and that has always been a guiding light for me,” Moreland told podcast host Eli Marcus. “Whatever’s scary, whatever’s uncomfortable, whatever’s challenging — that’s the direction (I want to go). And this career is so … tricky and demanding. That’s another reason why I just kind of know it’s the right path. Because, you know, the harder it is, the more rewarding it is.”

“Finding Mr. Christmas” season two — starring host and creator Jonathan Bennett and lead judge Melissa Peterman — premieres on October 27 at 8 p.m. Eastern time and will be available to stream on Hallmark+ the next day.

  1. I watched Ezra Moreland in Happy Howlidays…..he was terrible! His facial “expression “ never changed, his vocal delivery was so flat! He was terrible!! He maybe a “hunk” but as an actor he scores less than O!

    • I just read that he only had two months to take lessons and shoot the film so I am sure that was overwhelming. I am sure with time, he will improve. He states that he really wants to put in the work. Have to see with the next movie, which is coming up soon!

  2. I agree that he is a terrible actor. I honestly don’t know why they picked him as Mr Christmas 2024 because he was horrible. I watched the movie Howlings once and that was the last and only time I watched it. I really felt very sorry for the Hallmark actress. Very unimpressed with the Hallmark judging.
