Hallmark alum and “General Hospital” star Ryan Paevey is playing a special role in his co-star’s upcoming nuptials.
The actor, best known for playing Nathan West on the long-running ABC soap, is putting his impressive skills to use for Rory Gibson’s (Michael Corinthos) upcoming wedding to his fiancée, Alicia Ruelas.
Gibson took to his Instagram Story to share that Paevey is making his wedding ring. The groom-to-be posted a screenshot of a video call with the actor, who was busy creating the special piece.
“The homie… making my wedding ring,” Gibson captioned the post.

GettyBeyond acting, Paevey is also admired for his creativity. The Hallmark hunk founded Fortunate Wanderer, an outdoor adventure company based in San Diego, California.
The brand showcases Paevey’s skills in photography and handcrafted art, including jewelry. The actor usually shares his jewelry-making process on social media, and fans definitely love it.
“You’re an amazing man, your work (on tv and in the shop) are both just wow,” a fan commented in one of his posts.
“I love your jewelry, they are all unique and beautiful!” another wrote.
“The love you have for your craft, really shines through,” someone noted.
How It All Started
In 2022, Paevey opened up on how he got into jewelry-making. The “General Hospital” star told Just Jared that he was “looking for another creative outlet” at the time.
“Everybody around the studio was kind of starting to get into some sort of hobby,” he told the outlet. “The gals were all knitting and things like that. And I was like, yeah, all right. I need to [do something].”
Paevey also admitted that he didn’t know anything about jewelry-making, adding that he “wasn’t instantly good at it.”
“I made a bunch of really bad stuff early on, and it just kind of spiraled up from there,” he told the outlet. “As you create stuff, you get better and better at it, and the amount of difficulty a project needs to have in order to give you that rush starts to ratchet up.”
While the exact date of Gibson’s wedding hasn’t been announced, Paevey already working on the rings suggests the big day could be coming soon.
Gibson first met Ruelas in high school, and they’ve been together for over a decade now. The couple got engaged on October 16, 2022, at the Secret Cove Beach in Hawaii.
