Ginna Claire Mason’s Husband Makes His Acting Debut in Her Newest Hallmark Project: ‘So Wild’

One day after the premiere of Ginna Claire Mason’s new Hallmark holiday movie, “A Newport Christmas,” the Broadway alum debuted a surprise project with an even more surprising co-star — her real-life husband, Eric Moffett.

On November 3, 2025, Hallmark unveiled a new mini rom-com starring Mason, produced in partnership with United Airlines, where Moffett is a pilot. The four-minute movie is airing on United flights, but can also be watched on YouTube — or below!

Ginna Claire Mason Calls Chance to Work With Her Hubby a ‘Dream Come True’

To announce the mini movie, called “Miles Apart,” Mason shared behind-the-scenes footage on social media — including video of her and her husband being driven to an airport hangar where the project was filmed.

In her caption, Mason wrote, “It was so wild to have our two worlds/corporations collide! What a dream come true, and sweet opportunity for our little fam.”

Mason added, “And – spoiler alert- he ended up having a speaking part! All those years of self-taping auditions with me really paid off! I showed my daughter today, and she keeps saying ‘now she has!’ So proud of my pilot man.”

The short film stars Mason, her love interest Ryan Youngwoong Kim, and multiple United employees. A synopsis of the short on United’s website says, “While flying United Polaris business class back to her job in the Big City, a traveler overshares with her fellow passengers and crew about a rather complicated reunion with her ex over the holidays. When love takes flight, will miles get in the way?”

Moffett, who shares two young kids with Mason, didn’t have to stretch much for his acting debut, given that he’s playing a pilot, but he did have to watch his wife kiss her love interest for the closing scene.

Jonathan Bennett Also Starred in a Creative United Airlines Promo Weeks Earlier

Mason’s mini-movie arrived exactly one month after fellow Hallmark star Jonathan Bennett starred in another clever promo for United Airlines on October 3 — a day he’s known for thanks to his 2004 breakthrough role as Aaron Samuels in “Mean Girls.”

In one of many iconic scenes in “Mean Girls,” Lindsay Lohan’s character, Cady Heron, notes that she’s begun talking “more and more” to her high school crush — heartthrob Aaron Samuels. She comically offers up the example, “On October 3rd, he asked me what day it was,” followed by her enthusiastic response, “It’s October 3rd!”

Over 20 years later, Bennett still marks the day on social media amid a plethora of “Mean Girls” memes now and as people humorously asking him what day it is. But in 2025, October 3rd became known for another reason — the drop of Taylor Swift’s new album, “Life of a Showgirl.”

To spoof the date mashup, Bennett appeared in a brief video promo in which he boarded a plane surrounded by Swifties hilariously dressed in showgirl outfits.

Only time will tell if a third United promo has been created in conjunction with Hallmark, and in time to debut exactly one month later on December 3.
