Real-life Hallmark couple Marco Grazzini and Alvina August are starting September off with a bang, with back-to-back movies and a big birthday to celebrate. But true to form, the super private couple aren’t making too big a deal (at least publicly) out of their milestone week.
On September 5, Grazzini starred in his fourth “Haunted Harmony Mysteries” movie with Tamera Mowry-Housley, “Prelude to a Wedding,” and two days later, on September 7, the “Virgin River” alum turned 46. Meanwhile, on September 12, August will star in her first Hallmark movie in four years, “Falling Into Place.”
Marco Grazzini & Alvina August Have Been Together For a Dozen Years
Starring in rom-coms on back-to-back weekends is as the closest Grazzini and August have come to being seen together on Hallmark. The couple, who started dating in 2014 and got engaged in 2019, per People, keep their private life pretty private.
They occasionally post family milestones, including announcing August’s pregnancy and the birth of their daughter in 2023. Grazzini shared a sweet photo of him holding their newborn on his birthday that year, calling it the “best birthday ever.”
This year, he posted a darling photo of himself pushing their little girl, who’s now three, on a swing set and wrote, “Thanks for all the 🎂❤️ everyone.”
In March, Grazzini told Vogue Philippines, “I am in constant awe of my daughter, and she’s only two and a half years old. She’s got such a wonderfully infectious energy, and is truly the most funny and loving person in the room. I cannot wait to see the places she’ll go and the things that she is capable of.”
August also gushed about their little girl in May, posting a hospital photo from the day she was born and writing, “Almost 3 years ago, I earned a new stripe: the title of ‘Mother’. It rocked me to my core. It wrecked me in the best way. It challenged me like no role ever did. I birthed a strength I didn’t know I had. It’s shown me a depth of love that I didn’t even know was possible.”
“She is everything I have prayed for,” August continued. “She is the best parts of me, a soul wise beyond her years, a force of sheer will & courage. She teaches me how to be here now, how to let life unfold with no expectations, how to dance with reckless abandonmet, how to hold space for big feelings (both hers and mine). Hallmark Couple Marco Grazzini & Alvina August Expertly Juggle Their Busy Careers
While cherishing parenthood, Grazzini and August have had to juggle their careers, too. Grazzini starred on Netflix’s “Virgin River” through season seven, revealing earlier this year that his character was leaving the show.
But he was upbeat about his future, telling Vogue Phillipines, “I’m so grateful for every opportunity, heartbreak, and interaction that I’ve had in my 20-plus years in the business. My love for the craft is as big as ever, and I’m hungry to get challenged by different scripts and unearth new versions of myself. I love sci-fi and comedy and am actively writing a couple scripts with my writing partner. Energetically speaking, I feel like my career is just getting started, which can be a good place to operate from.”
Although August hasn’t been on Hallmark since 2022’s “A Second Chance at Love,” she has been busy, too. According to IMDb, she had a recurring role in FOX’s “Animal Control” in 2023 and returned for an episode this year. Before her daughter was born, she also had a recurring role in the 2023 series “Lucky Hank,” and in 2025, she appeared on “Tracker” and “Invasion.”
Grazzini can be seen in the entire “Haunted Harmony Mysteries” franchise, streaming on Hallmark+. August will co-star with Nathan Witte in Hallmark Channel’s “Falling Into Place” on September 12 at 8 p.m. ET, and that will also be available on Hallmark+ the following day.
