As prolific director Terry Ingram oversees the filming of Hallmark Channel’s third “Three Wise Men” movie in Vancouver, the cast and crew threw a surprise party to celebrate it being his 50th Hallmark movie.
Producer Rob Lycar posted a video on August 22, 2025, of them pulling off the surprise, with Tina Turner’s “Simply the Best” as the soundtrack. He shared footage of stars including Andrew Walker, Tyler Hynes, and Kimberley Sustad at the on-set party, and many other stars shared or commented on the post.
“Today on set we celebrated our leader & Director Terry Ingram as he directs his 50th movie for @hallmark,” Lycar captioned the video. “We love you Terry! Here’s to 50 more! And yes he eventually got to eat that piece of cake!”
Hallmark Channel’s Tyler Hynes Put a ’50’ Necklace on Terry Ingram to Celebrate His Milestone
Lycar’s video showed him leading Ingram to a room where a group of cast and crew members cheered and threw confetti as he opened the door, catching him by surprise.
Hynes was the first to hug the director and place a sparkling gold “50” necklace around his neck. In 2023, Ingram revealed on the “Unbuttoned Suspenders” podcast that he’d known Hynes since he was a 13-year-old actor in a Canadian series he directed called “Amazon.”
Walker and Sustad could also be seen celebrating, and fellow “Three Wise Men” star Fiona Vroom gave Ingram a big hug, declaring him “my favorite director.” She reiterated that by writing in the comments, “Terry is the absolute best!!!! ❤️”
Several people held posters with photos of Ingram and the words “Here’s to another 50 films!” He was also shown cutting a sheet cake decorated with the words “Terry, Congratulations on 50 Hallmark movies!”
Lycar shared the post in his Instagram Stories and wrote, “The single director I’ve worked the most with. 7+ projects. 20+ years. 🤍@terryjohningram We celebrate you my friend, The only way worthy of the legend you are. Thank you”
