Hallmark fans are ready to head to Hope Valley for season 13 of “When Calls the Heart.” Ahead of the January 4 premiere, Erin Krakow revealed some teasers that set the bar quite high for the storylines on the way.
“There’s no shortage of love and romance” in season 13 of “When Calls the Heart,” Krakow promised.
Hearties Can Expect Great Developments for Nathan & Elizabeth
Krakow talked to Us Weekly about where her character, Elizabeth Thornton, is headed in season 13. The last that “When Calls the Heart” viewers saw, Elizabeth and Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry), were leaving Hope Valley.
They weren’t saying farewell to Hope Valley forever, though. Rather, they were heading to Cape Fullerton to get medical attention for Little Jack after his diabetes diagnosis.
Krakow promised that while Elizabeth and Nathan head to Cape Fullerton full of concerns and worries for Little Jack, their time there will have its positives, too.
“They get romantic together. They get silly together. There are some beautiful, beautiful moments between them,” she hinted.
As a result of the highs and lows of the couple’s time away from Hope Valley, Krakow shared that “Nathan and Elizabeth take steps forward.”
Perhaps most importantly, Krakow teased, she wholeheartedly believes that “When Calls the Heart” fans will be “more than satisfied” with what’s ahead.
“Hearties,” as “When Calls the Heart” fans often call themselves, have been eager to see Elizabeth and Nathan’s romantic progress forward in a serious way. At last, it seems that they will soon get what they want.
Romances Are Flourishing Throughout Hope Valley in WCTH Season 13
Krakow also suggested that the group’s time in Cape Fullerton will be fairly short, but highly productive. It seems that the Nathan and Elizabeth that return to Hope Valley will be changed people in numerous ways.
One change “When the Heart Calls” fans will see in Nathan may be somewhat controversial. Krakow explained, “I can draw attention to the one thing that we’re all thinking, which is Nathan’s mustache. It’s back.”
McGarry’s mustache has been present in social media posts and Hallmark’s “When Calls the Heart” promotional media for a while now. “That’s something that I guess Nathan grew during his time in Cape Fullerton,” Krakow quipped.
However, Krakow suggested, the mustache may not stick around for long.
Elizabeth and Nathan’s relationship isn’t the only one that will move forward in season 13 of “When Calls the Heart.” Krakow hinted, “For our romance loving fans…it’s not just Elizabeth and Nathan…We’ve got Bill and Georgie. We’ve got Edie and Lucas’ will they, won’t they.”
She added, “We’ve got this beautiful, you know, blossoming puppy love between Allie and Oliver.”
Even the wedded pairs in Hope Valley will get some romantic attention in season 13 of “When Calls the Heart.” Krakow explained, “There’s a deepening love story in marriages, the Canfields, the Coulters, the Hickams. It is all over Hope Valley.”
Glad for all the romance happening in Hope Valley/ Extremely happy and thrill that Nathan will loose the mustache. He looks better without it. When he marries Elizabeth, hope the mustache will be gone for GOOD!!!
I’ll tell you where it lands with this viewer, flat as a rug. She was better off with Lucas and Nathan tricked her and hid Jack Sr. Pension from her, was involved in his death and lied.
So bitter and childish! She made a decision, and for now, it is as it is. I think he is great for her and will continue to be there for her and Little Jack. It is evident that she and Lucas are not and were not meant to be together.
Exactly! It blows my mind that people are still so mad about it all f I r over 2 years like it’s real life or something and then make up stuff saying Nathan tricked her. That’s utter nonsense and just plain childish. Some of these people live in a fantasy world and make their whole existence about a show.
Hey, don’t speak for all the viewers. Not every viewer feels how you do. Speak for yourself. I really like Nathan. I also really like Lucas. I accepted when he and E were together. I didn’t gripe and grumble about it for forever. Lucas is getting a love interest. I like hwr a lot. Why can’t people just accept things and just move forward? Enough with this stuff it’s gone on for two years and at some point soon you gotta just move ahead!
Erin and Kevin always oversell how things will be. An ep they teased in s12 sure was nothing like they teased.
I been binge watching the show this holiday time off. the wish wash between Lucas,Nathan and Elizabeth went on too long. but she’s better off with Nathan. Lucas is pretty hot to me, I would have gone for him If I was her.
