Hallmark Sisters Thank Butterball for Saving Thanksgiving & Avoiding the ER

Hallmark fan favorites Ashley Williams and her sister, Kimberly Paisley-Williams, got together with extended family for a magical Thanksgiving holiday. Based on some video that Williams shared on social media heading into the big meal, the food preparations took some comical twists and turns.

Ashley Williams & Family Ran Into Timing Issues With the Turkey

In an Instagram post shared by Williams on November 28, the star of “An Alpine Holiday” shared a video highlighting the holiday hijinx. In the caption, she wrote, “The great turkey fiasco of 2025. It was… eventually delicious!”

The video showed Williams, Williams-Paisley, and Sandy Paisley, the mother-in-law of Williams-Paisley, gathered in the kitchen. The issue at hand was that the turkey they were preparing for Thanksgiving was not heating up to the temperature they were aiming for.

Multiple meat thermometers were utilized in several different spots, and different possibilities to resolve the issue were tossed around.

Eventually, Williams called the Butterball Turkey Talk-Line for professional advice. She asked “Jeremiah” if the family was at risk for getting sick if they ate one of the turkeys “undercooked.” She made sure to clarify that they purchased the turkey fully cooked already.

Williams seemed surprised and concerned to learn, according to Jeremiah, that there was a risk of eating the turkey if it had not reached the recommended temperature during Thanksgiving preparations. The family decided to listen to Jeremiah’s advice and did not risk eating the turkey before it was fully ready.

Fans Loved the Relatable Paisley Extended Family Turkey Crisis

Later in the video, Williams showed a selection of partially-eaten Thanksgiving side dishes. The turkey itself, she revealed, was still in the oven. Then, Williams-Paisley laughingly declared, “The turkey is ready.”

Fans got a kick out of the sisterly turkey adventure.

On Facebook, one person declared, “That should be a hallmark movie.”

Another joked, “This is the most relatable of the celebrity Thanksgiving videos I’ve seen! Thank you for being a mess like the rest of us on Thanksgiving.”

At the end of her Instagram caption, Williams quipped, “Thankful for you Jeremiah at @butterballturkey for keeping us out of the hospital, and thank you, turkey, for the memories. (Also great in sandwiches today!) Grateful for the group effort, Paisleys!”

A fan on Instagram commented, “I love how perfectly imperfect this family meal is and you’re all smiles!”

Another added, “I’m so happy that our Thanksgivings aren’t picture perfect either. Real life is not a Hallmark movie. Although I do love them!”
