See HGTV’s First Magical Preview for Season 2 of ‘Castle Impossible’

The most enchanting new HGTV series of 2025, “Castle Impossible,” will finally return with a second season on May 26, 2026.

And if the new season’s first trailer is any indication, fans are in for another magical carpet ride, full of twists and turns as Daphne and Ian Fig continue to renovate the 500-year-old French estate she inherited from her grandfather.

‘Castle Impossible’ Season 2 Trailer Promises Magic & Drama

Starting with a wide shot of the Figs’ fairytale castle, as they walk across the moat that leads to their front door, the new trailer — dropped on May 18 — features a British voice over artist’s tongue-in-cheek narration.

“Once upon a time, an American couple journeyed to the far, faraway land of France, on a magical adventure,” he’s heard saying as majestic rooms on the property are shown.

As the Figs are then seen sitting in a foyer, Ian says, “It’s good to be back. It’s been a while!”

Daphne then says, “I inherited the chateau from my grandfather. Keeping it alive for future generations is what our goal is.”

“Their quest is to rescue this ancient castle from ruin,” the narrator continues, as the Figs are seen surveying leaking, “rotting” rooms and alluding to a “huge problem.”

In the first season, fans saw the Figs renovate their primary bedroom, a luxury bathroom, an office for their wedding business, and a workshop. But in the trailer, Daphne says “we’ve invested every cent we have into this place” and is then seen telling Ian, “we’ve got 80,000 Euros worth of work” regarding one of their projects.

Their hope, Daphne explains, is that every renovation they do brings in some sort of revenue — from rental spaces to expanding their wedding business.

Fans Are Thrilled to See ‘Castle Impossible’ Return

Fans flooded the comment section when HGTV posted the trailer, thrilled to get a taste of what’s to come, including one who wrote, “Hooray!! 🎉 Best show HGTV has ever made. I am so happy to see more of this wonderful couple and their adventures.”

Another celebrated, “Eeeeeeeeeeee! This is my go-to comfort show. 😍”

An excited grandma wrote, “My 10 YO grandson and I watched last season together and can’t wait for the new season 🥰”

“I am so excited they brought them back,” someone else shared. “I need to see this castle through every part of renovation until we get to the end.”

Here’s What to Expect on New Season of ‘Castle Impossible’

HGTV announced the return of “Castle Impossible” on April 28 in a press release that said, “After a year of tireless work on the sprawling property, this season the Figs will focus on the revival and sustainability of their historic Chateau de Lesigny by expanding their wedding and event businesses to finance the much-needed renovations.”

The new season will be comprised of eight episodes, following the couple as they work on a honeymoon suite in the dove tower, a tea salon, a dungeon tavern and a library, “in addition to restoring the chateau’s gatehouse as a residence for Daphne’s granny.”

The new season premieres on May 26 at 9 p.m. Eastern time on HGTV.
