Chip & Joanna Gaines Are a ‘Shark Tank’ First
Joanna and Chip join the roster of guests on the panel for “Shark Tank” season 17 — the first ever couple! They join sharks Barbara Corcoran, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, Kevin O’Leary, and Daymond John.
In July, the Shark Tank Instagram account first announced the couple’s upcoming appearance. “From dream home renovations to making dream deals in the Tank! @joannagaines and @chipgaines are Guest Sharks on the new season of #SharkTank, Wednesdays this fall on ABC and stream on Hulu,” the caption noted.
On October 4, the Shark Tank Instagram account teased Chip and Joanna’s episode.
“Our first ever Guest Shark COUPLE is entering the Tank! 💙 Join @chipgaines and @joannagaines for an all-new #SharkTank, Wednesday at 10/9c on ABC and stream on Hulu,” the caption read.
Among the pitches on the episode are a cleaning device for homegrown eggs, a reusable paint tray, a line of superfood seasoning, and customizable fundraising blankets.
On October 8, Joanna took to Instagram to give fans a sneak peek of their appearance, noting in the caption, “Let’s go make some deals 🦈 Our @sharktankabc episode airs tonight at 10/9c or you can find it streaming on @hulu!”
In the video, Chip says, “Ladies and gentlemen, you’re not going to believe this … meet the first ever power couple sharks.”
The couple are seen in the studio, along with their youngest son, Crew (wearing a shark fin on his back, of course!).
