HGTV star Jenny Marrs is reflecting on a whirlwind anniversary getaway with her husband, Dave Marrs. She shared some highlights from their romantic trip, emphasizing why it’s important to take opportunities as they come and “live each and every day to the fullest.”
Jenny Marrs Shares Romantic Anniversary Trip Details
On April 28, Jenny took to Instagram to share a look at her and Dave’s quick anniversary trip while they were in Italy buying marble for a new project.
“Yes, we were in Italy for some work but we also had a chance to steal away for a night and return to one of our very favorite coastal towns: Vernazza,” she explained in the caption.
Jenny continued, “We have always visited in the off-months to avoid the crush of crowds and this visit was no exception. We were there for less than 24 hours but when I knew we’d be nearby in Carrara, I reached out to my friend Ruth at @cinqueterrevacation and planned what I think was the perfect anniversary surprise!”
“One night in Vernazza is better than no nights in Vernazza!” she wrote.
Jenny also reflected on the importance of living life fully.
“If the last year has taught us anything it is to truly live each and every day to the fullest,” the HGTV star shared.
She added, “Unapologetically: book the trip, take the detour, drive the crazy, scary road and soak up the salty air alongside your love. We only get this one beautiful, messy, sweet, adventure-filled life, we may as well LIVE.”
In the video, Jenny included throwback photos of her and Dave in Italy in 2007 and 2016.
“This time we decided to drive,” she noted, showing the narrow and winding roads. “We had to share the road with a few trucks … including our shuttle to town.”
The video also showed off the stunning views from their room and some other highlights.

Dave & Jenny Marrs Went Marble Shopping
On April 27, Jenny took to Instagram to give fans a look at their quest to pick out marble.
She explained on her Instagram Stories, “Yes, we are working on another project in Italy. No, we aren’t filming it for the show. Just a really fun pinch-me project!”
In the Instagram post, Jenny explained, “I always say it’s best to choose your marble slab in person so we went straight to the source. 🙌 Last week, Dave and I visited Letizia once again at @lucedicarrara and we pinched ourselves the entire time. How is this real life?? The slabs are all remarkably beautiful and it absolutely blows my mind that God created all of this beauty simply for us to enjoy.”
She continued, “We didn’t drive back to the top of the quarry this time (that was quite literally a once in a lifetime experience for me 😉) but we did marvel once again at the fact that God is the absolute best creator and this world He made for us truly is breathtaking.”
“Why would He go all out and create a place like this? Why would He hide marble in a mountain to be discovered by an artist named Michelangelo hundreds of years ago?” she wondered.
The HGTV star shared, “I think it was all for love. Because, He knew there would be the ones who would see this magnificently beautiful place and the exquisite materials within and they would go on to create more beauty.”
“And, that beauty would be deeply appreciated and it would all point back to the One who made it all. Our good, His glory,” Jenny added.
