Clint Harp became a fan-favorite during his time on HGTV‘s “Fixer Upper.” The Texas native would often help Chip and Joanna Gaines build one-of-a-kind pieces for their home renovation clients.
Following his time on “Fixer Upper,” Harp landed his own show on the Gaines’ Magnolia Network. Where is he now?
Clint Harp Starred in ‘Restoration Road’
When Chip and Joanna landed their own television network, Magnolia Network, they offered their pal Clint his own show, “Restoration Road With Clint Harp.”
“Carpenter Clint Harp hits the road in search of incredible historical structures across the country that are in need of restoration, while exploring their origins and dreaming of their futures,” the network explained.
The hit series lasted six seasons before wrapping in 2024.
“I’ve carried a sense of guilt that I’m the person who has been given this chance to learn, experience, see, and ultimately share these amazing stories,” Harp wrote in a blog post following season 1. “I am having my eyes opened to history that I’ve never known, or—in many cases—never thought to investigate. And I get to learn alongside those that are watching the show.”
Clint Harp Shut Down His Woodworking Store
“Fixer Upper” fans who made the trek to Waco, Texas, to visit the Magnolia Silos, likely stopped by Harp Design Co. to shop some of Clint’s beautiful work. However, after a decade in business the beloved carpenter announced the store’s closure in January 2023.
“Between being partners, being parents, managing HDC, Kelly getting a master’s in clinical psychology, me making a television show across the country, and running our sweet Airbnb…we have discovered our limits!” Clint and wife Kelly announced at the time. “On one hand, this is a sad and difficult decision. On the other, this is an exciting step forward into what HDC might become next.”
Clint Harp Walked Away From TV
The go-to carpenter of the Waco, Texas, couple announced earlier this year that he was hanging up his woodworking tools, walking away from television, and pivoting to a life in real estate.
“New journey. New chapter. So excited to partner with my friend Jonathan to build the 254 Realty Group under the family of Camille Johnson Realtors. Camille is that same Realtor I met with Kelly over 13 years ago when we dreamed of flipping an old pink house we had no business buying,” he captioned his April 22 announcement.

Love Clint Harper’s shows and work. Love Restoration Road. Will miss him so much.
