Former HGTV star Lara Spencer has an exciting new show coming out that puts competitors to the ultimate test. The “Good Morning America” host was a fixture on HGTV for 14 seasons of “Flea Market Flip” before it was canceled in 2019.

Spencer’s new series, “That Thrifting Show,” is coming to Hulu and Freeform on March 19.
In a trailer for the show, Spencer notes, “It’s like, literally a treasure hunt,” as two design teams are tasked with decorating identical rooms with the most unique vintage items they can find.
“Welcome to the ultimate thrifting and design competition,” she says to the participants. “We have two identical rooms. You guys have two days and a $2,000 budget.”
The designers look for items at various places, with Spencer noting, “Thrift shops, flea markets … I don’t care where you get these pieces.”
Even dumpster diving is in the mix! As two designers dig through garbage for the ultimate treasure, Spencer peeks in and asks, “Are you actually in the dumpster? I love this!”
The creativity is next level, with one team noting, “We are big fans of finding a thing and making it another thing.”
Dani Klariฤ, Preston Konrad, and Robert Hartwell serve as judges on “That Thrifting Show.”
On February 24, Spencer announced a special “GMA” competition to promote her show.
“Just before the premiere, we are doing our own version of ‘That Thrifting Show.’ We’ll have two teams of interior designers live on ‘GMA,’ doing it and getting judged by our incredible panel of judges,” she explained. “So excited for that.”
