Kylie Jenner is mourning the loss of her friend, hairstylist Jesus Guerrero, who died suddenly in February. He was 34. His family announced his death on February 23 on a GoFundMe page, where they said his passing had happened “suddenly and unexpectedly.”
The reality TV star misses her friend dearly, but he remains a part of her life.
Kylie Jenner’s Friend Came to Kim Kardashian in a Dream
GettyJenner opened up about Guerrero in an episode of Season 7 of “The Kardashians.” She revealed that her older sister, Kim Kardashian, had a dream about Guerrero. In the dream, he had a message: “Please tell Kylie that I love her,” People reports.
“Kylie recently lost one of her closest friends,” Khloe Kardashian said in a confessional. “He passed away suddenly, and he does show up to her in certain ways, and I think that is so special. I think it’s so beautiful when people who’ve passed on, they want to reassure you and tell you that they’re okay.”
Jenner shared the news of Guerrero’s death in a statement on her Instagram on February 25. She posted several photos of them together in happier times, including snaps from photo shoots, him touching up her hair, them walking arm in arm down the street, and a posed Polaroid. The collection of images gives a glimpse into their close relationship, but Jenner also shared her thoughts in a lengthy caption.
“Jesus was more than my friend – he was a light in my life, a source of laughter, comfort, love, and unwavering support,” she wrote. “I don’t know how I would have made it through the last almost decade without him by my side. He had a way of making even the heaviest days feel lighter.”
She thanked Guerrero for being her friend and shared the pain of her loss. “I don’t know how to move forward without you but I know great grief is born only of great love. and I loved you so much,” she wrote. “You were the best person, with a talent that was unmatched. a true artist. You inspired so many, and you always will.” She ended her message by wishing she could hug him one last time and have one of their deep discussions.
Remembering Jesus Guerrero
GettyFans showed support for Jenner in the comments section of her post. The messages are filled with love and include one from supermodel Gigi Hadid. “I am so sorry for your loss Ky. Sending so much strength and a veil of the warm and bright spirit I felt from even brief time spent around Jesus. May he rest in peace and so much love,” Hadid shared.
Model Winnie Harlow was also among the celebrity reactions. “So sorry for you and his Families loss our teams become our families. May he rest is heavenly peace,” she wrote.
The GoFundMe page about Guerrero’s passing shares an insight into who he was. “He is a son, a brother, an uncle, an artist, a friend, and so much more. Born and raised in Houston, TX, to immigrant parents, Jesus learned how to work hard and dreamt of taking his skills to the top,” the statement from his family reads. With a goal of $80,000, the family raised $96,000.
Come on Kylie, you should have paid that money to the family. Damn.
