Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet are reportedly happier than ever together, but that doesn’t mean they’re racing toward an engagement.
After more than three years of dating, the Kylie Cosmetics founder and the Oscar-nominated actor are allowing their relationship to continue developing naturally. A source told People exclusively that while the couple remains deeply committed to each other, they see no reason to rush into taking another major step.
“Kylie and Timmy are very much in love,” the source said. “They don’t have plans to rush an engagement. They love how their relationship is.”
The update comes after Jenner and Chalamet have become increasingly comfortable making public appearances together while continuing to maintain some privacy around their romance.
Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet Are Enjoying Their Relationship
According to People, the couple has enjoyed plenty of quality time together in recent months.
Jenner, 28, and Chalamet, 30, have attended several high-profile events together in 2026, including the Critics Choice Awards, Oscars, NBA Finals and World Cup Final.
They also recently enjoyed a double vacation with Jenner’s sister Kendall Jenner and her boyfriend, Jacob Elordi. According to the source, the group spent part of their time enjoying a Malibu “staycation.”
The latest update echoes what another source told People in June. At the time, the insider said Jenner and Chalamet were “in a great place” and that their friends and families supported the relationship.
“They both are in a great place, make each other laugh and friends and family love them together,” the source said.
The insider also explained that Jenner feels relaxed around Chalamet while she provides a similar sense of security for him.
“Friends can see them in it for the long haul, but they aren’t rushing anything,” the source added.
GettyTheir Romance Has Continued to Grow Since 2023
Jenner and Chalamet first sparked romance speculation in 2023 after they were seen interacting at a Jean Paul Gaultier show during Paris Fashion Week.
That April, a source told People they were spending time together and getting to know one another. By September, they made their first major public appearance as a couple at Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour stop in Los Angeles.
Their relationship continued to develop over the following years. In May 2025, Jenner and Chalamet reached another milestone when they made their official red carpet debut at the David di Donatello Awards in Rome.
According to People, the pair has also learned how to maintain their connection when their busy careers require them to spend time apart.
Jenner balances her businesses and career with raising daughter Stormi and son Aire, while Chalamet continues taking on major film projects. Despite their demanding schedules, the couple has continued showing up for one another at important events.
Their increasingly public appearances have naturally generated questions about whether an engagement could be next. However, the latest update suggests Jenner and Chalamet are focused more on enjoying the relationship they have built than following a specific timeline.
After more than three years together, the pair appears comfortable allowing their romance to progress at its own pace. While an engagement may eventually become part of their future, People’s source makes clear that Jenner and Chalamet are already happy with where they are now, and they’re in no hurry to change it.
