Benny Blanco’s mother, Sandra Levin, was the victim of a terrifying home burglary at her Studio City, California, residence earlier this week. Police say she barricaded herself in an upstairs bathroom as the intruders forced their way inside.
ABC7 reported that the break-in happened around 9:15 p.m. on Monday, November 24, when three men shattered a sliding glass door to enter the home. Levin was alone at the time. After hearing the noise, she ran upstairs, locked herself in a bathroom, and called 911, according to the station.
Neighbors and property records confirmed the home belonged to Levin, ABC7 added. She also told officers the suspects kicked down the bathroom door during the break-in.

By the time officers reached the home, the suspects had already fled. NBC Los Angeles reported that the men were dressed in dark clothing and wore masks when they entered the residence. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the trio remains at large.
According to ABC7, Levin was not physically harmed during the incident. Several rooms were left ransacked, and property was taken from the home, investigators said.

Blanco has often spoken about how close he is to his mother. In a 2024 interview with People, he described her as his “best friend.” Blanco, born Benjamin Levin, is the younger of Sandra and her ex-husband Andrew Levin’s two children. His older brother, Jeremy, is 37.
“Every Sunday we go to the farmer’s market. I cook her lunch, we swim, we gossip about stuff,” he said at the time. “She sends me things and is like, ‘Do you think it’s true?’ I’m like, ‘I don’t even know who these two people are we’re talking about.'”

Levin has also been a steady supporter of Blanco’s relationship with Selena Gomez, whom he married in September. She even keeps a small memento of the couple on a necklace she wears every day.
Blanco has often credited his mother for being the person who keeps him grounded, and police say she is now recovering from the emotional shock of the break-in.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the robbery.
