GettyPhotos obtained by Page Six show Cher stepping out of a car as she attended the wedding of her son, Chaz Bono, and his partner, Shara Blue Mathes, who wed at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel on March 9.
In the photos, the songstress wore an all-black ensemble that complements her long, wavy black hair. It was easy to spot the massive diamond ring and band on her left hand, fueling speculation that she and her longtime boyfriend, Alexander Edwards, may have possibly wed.
According to People, Cher and Edwards first met at Paris Fashion Week in September 2022, and just two months later, they sparked dating rumors after being photographed holding hands. She later shared a photo of him on X with the caption “Alexander” and a red heart emoji.
In fact, that December, engagement rumors swirled after the music executive bought Cher a diamond ring for Christmas. Sharing a photo of the ring on X, the singer wrote, “THERE R NO WORDS.” However, a source later told People that it wasn’t an engagement ring, though the couple is “very much in love.”

Speaking to People in 2023, she shared, “What I learned is that it’s never too late. If you wrote out all the statistics, you would go, ‘Well, this is doomed.’ But we’ve been together a year, and if it was just a year, it would’ve been worth it. I’ve had the best time.”
She continued, “He’s special. No matter what happens, I love being with him. He makes me laugh, and we have fun.”
Edwards is the father of a son, Slash Electric Alexander Edwards, whom he welcomed with Amber Rose in October 2019. He and Cher have posed for several red carpet photos with Slash in tow, showcasing that the singer has a sweet bond with his son.
In fact, in an episode of “The Jason Lee Project,” Rose shared that she was happy to see her ex and Cher together with their son because it offered him “stability.”
“I’m very happy that he’s with Cher because it creates stability for when [our] son goes over there,” she shared, adding, “That it’s not all mayhem and stuff.”
