“50 Shades of Grey” star Dakota Johnson was seen on Thursday, January 22 walking hand-in-hand with Role Model, a 28-year-old singer and rapper, after what looked like a cozy dinner rendezvous.
Page Six says the outing took place at a trendy spot in Los Angeles, where they were joined by a friend. The outlet says their reps were immediately available to comment on the story. The pair first sparked dating rumors back in December when they were seen by TMZ sitting side-by-side while attending a candlelit dinner with friends.

On June 24, 2025, People reported that Johnson and her longtime boyfriend, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, had ended things. In one of their final public outings before the breakup, they were seen leaving a yoga class in Malibu together.
The June report says a source revealed to People that the split “feels final this time.” Johnson previously told Bustle she enjoyed living by the beach with Martin because “I need to be in nature. I can be out at my house and not see or speak to another human for days on end, and I feel wonderful.”
She also described what it was like watching the musician perform, saying, “I love watching him. I could watch him every day. I don’t know how to explain it. I feel like, I don’t know… I’m watching my most favorite being do his most favorite thing.”
The “Yellow” singer famously split from ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow in 2014, and sparked dating rumors with Sophie Turner in October 2025.

He talked in his Rolling Stone interview about what it was like growing up in Maine, saying, “Maine is nice because you have beaches. You have the coast, but you also have mountains, and you have fields and farms, and lakes, and everything is very much in walking distance to each other. You know when you’re with your friends and you’re outside and you are just making things up the whole time?”
