Beloved Singer, 24, Shares Health Update With Fans After Collapsing Mid-Performance

British pop-rock singer Lola Young gave her fans a scare when she collapsed mid-performance at the All Things Go Music Festival in New York City on Saturday, September 7. The 24-year-old was singing her track “Conceited” at Forest Hills Stadium when she suddenly fell, prompting medical staff to rush to her side. As per a Rolling Stone report, the crowd erupted into cheers of support as Young was carefully carried off the stage.

A short while later, Young comforted fans with an Instagram update, assuring them she was safe. While she did not share the cause of the incident, her quick message of gratitude (on her Instagram story) showed just how much she values her audience.

Singer Reassures Fans With Instagram Update

Less than an hour after the frightening moment, Young took to her Instagram Stories to reassure fans. “Hi, for anyone who saw my set at All Things Go today, I am doing OK now,” she wrote, adding, “Thank you for all of your support, Lola xxx.”

Her quick message of gratitude not only calmed concerns but also showed her determination to stay close to her fans, even in a vulnerable moment.

Recent Cancellations Add to Concerns

The night before her collapse, Young canceled her scheduled performance at Audacy’s We Can Survive concert on Friday, September 26. In a statement on Instagram Stories (as reported by TMZ), her manager Nick Shymansky explained that she had pulled out “due to a sensitive matter.”

The back-to-back incidents have left fans concerned, though no further details have been released.

A Rising Star With a Candid Voice

Young has built a devoted following with her raw voice and unfiltered honesty. She rose to fame with her 2024 hit “Messy” (which has over 112 million YouTube Views) and has already released three albums: My Mind Wanders and Sometimes Leaves Completely in 2023, This Wasn’t Meant for You Anyway in 2024, and her most recent project, I’m Only F—— Myself, which debuted on September 19.

Beyond her music, Young has been open about her personal struggles, often turning her pain into a source of strength. In 2022, she revealed her schizoaffective disorder diagnosis, writing, “I can’t find the words to describe how much this diagnosis has affected my entire life… my mental health condition does not define me. It is my superpower.”

She has also shared her battle with addiction. Speaking with The Guardian earlier this month, she described overcoming cocaine use as “a constant journey” that has given her deeper empathy for others facing similar challenges. Her candor has only strengthened the bond she shares with her fans.
