Mick Jagger and his long-term partner, Melanie Hamrick, looked so happy and in love when they attended the New York City Ballet Spring Gala on Thursday, May 7. The event was held at the David H. Koch Theater in New York City, and the couple posed hand in hand for photos on the red carpet.

GettyIn pictures from the night, Jagger was wearing a black blazer jacket with white lace trim over a dark blue shirt and trousers, while Hamrick wore a fitted silver gown. Her dress was gorgeous, and she wore her hair loose and swept back. They both had big smiles on their faces and the Rolling Stones musician was photographed waving to the cameras.

GettyThe couple has been dating for over a decade, and Hamrick, who is a former ballerina, confirmed their engagement in April 2025. In an interview with French publication Paris Match, she revealed that they had “been engaged two or three years,” People reports. However, they are not in a rush to get married. “Maybe one day we’ll marry, maybe not. We are so happy in our current life that I would be too afraid to change anything,” she said.
Melanie Hamrick Is a Former Ballerina
Jagger and Hamrick met in Tokyo, Japan, in 2014. At the time, he was touring with the Rolling Stones, and she was touring with the American Ballet Theatre. She announced her retirement from the American Ballet Theatre in July 2019 with an Instagram post reflecting on the incredible experience she had.
In the caption of a photo of her onstage, Hamrick wrote, “Flying, sitting or standing on this incredible stage for the past 16 years has been an honor. Closing out my final Metropolitan Opera house season with American Ballet Theatre has been so special. Thank you to all of my amazing friends and colleagues, and especially the corps de ballet.” She continued, “You are the body and soul and I am so proud to have been a part of it and to have worked with you. I will be retiring from ABT after the fall season. So not leaving just yet.”

Jagger and Hamrick remain in a committed relationship. At 38, she is significantly younger than the beloved musician, who is 82. “We try to support each other, be there for each other, and make sure everyone is happy. That’s all that matters to me and all I strive for,” she told Paris Match.
The couple also shares one child, a son named Deveraux “Devi” Octavian Basil Jagger, who was born on December 8, 2016. Their son is Jagger’s eighth child. At the time of his birth, the couple released a joint statement to People. “Melanie Hamrick and Mick Jagger’s son was born today in New York, and they are both delighted,” the statement reads. “Mick was at the hospital for the arrival. Mother and baby are doing well and we request that the media respect their privacy at this time.”
The proud mama celebrated Devi’s ninth birthday in December 2025 with a heartfelt post on Instagram, in which she shared she was “so proud to be his mama.”
