Offset is speaking out after a scary incident earlier this week, breaking his silence with a personal message to fans following a shooting in Florida.
The rapper took to social media on April 10, sharing a statement that quickly spread across platforms as supporters continued to check in on him. “Thank you to everyone who’s checked in on me and showed me love! I’m good…..but I’m planning to be better!” he wrote. He continued, “I’m focused on my family, my recovery, and getting back to the music… realizing that life is made up of quiet wins and loud losses…” before adding, “Life’s a gamble and I’m still playing to win.”
His message marks his first public update since the incident.
Offset Recovering After Florida Shooting
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Offset has since been released from the hospital and is “up and walking” after sustaining a non-life-threatening injury. A spokesperson also thanked the medical team, expressing appreciation for “the doctors, nurses, and the entire hospital staff” who cared for him.
The incident happened earlier this week near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Per ABC News, the shooting took place in the valet area and began after a fight. Two people were detained at the scene, but authorities have not announced any charges directly tied to the shooting, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Before the situation escalated, Offset was reportedly in good spirits. According to TMZ, he was seen inside the venue interacting with fans, smiling, taking photos and chatting casually just moments before gunfire broke out.
In earlier reporting, Offset was also seen outside the hospital just a day after the shooting, sitting in a wheelchair and appearing alert as he stepped out briefly, offering a small but reassuring update on his condition.
Cardi B Reaches Out Amid Ongoing Divorce

Amid the incident, Cardi B reportedly checked in on Offset while he was recovering. Per TMZ, the rapper reached out to her estranged husband shortly after the shooting, despite their ongoing divorce.
The two share three children and filed for divorce in 2024 following a long, on-and-off relationship. While their split has been described as contentious, the moment reflects continued concern between them as co-parents.
The situation has also brought renewed attention to Offset’s history with Migos. In 2022, his bandmate, the late Takeoff, passed away following a shooting in Houston, making this latest incident especially concerning for fans familiar with the group’s past.
For now, Offset appears to be focused on recovery and moving forward, keeping his attention on family and music as he heals. As he shared in his message, “Life’s a gamble and I’m still playing to win.”

It’s incredible how music can be a source of strength during such difficult times. Sending all the best for a continued recovery and return to making music, Offset.
