Paris Jackson lost her father, Michael Jackson, on June 25, 2009, when she was just 11 years old. In the years since, she’s gotten close to and formed a bond with her mother, Debbie Rowe.
Recently spending time together, Paris took to her Instagram Stories on Thursday, February 26, to share sweet — and relatively rare — photos of herself with her mom.
Fans Think Paris Jackson Looks Like Her Mom Debbie Rowe
The photos of the mother and daughter’s “sweet reunion” included “[o]ne image showed Paris wearing a red jacket featuring a Navajo-inspired pattern while posing next to Debbie, who sported a coordinating plaid flannel,” according to E! News. “In another snapshot, the pair were pictured in matching cream-colored tops, with Paris writing in the caption alongside a heart emoji, ‘Lately.'”

One person wrote, “Paris look[s] so much like her mother Debbie.💖💖”

Paris Jackson & Debbie Rowe’s Relationship Is ‘Very Chill’
For a large part of Paris’s early years, her father had custody of her and her brothers, Prince and Bigi, after their parents divorced. It wasn’t until Paris was a teenager that she reconnected with Debbie.
“When I was really, really young, my mom didn’t exist,” Paris told Rolling Stone in January 2017. She added, “By the time my mom came into my life, it wasn’t a ‘mommy’ thing. It’s more of an adult relationship.”
After forming a new relationship, Paris was “by her mother’s side” when Debbie underwent chemotherapy in 2016 following a breast cancer diagnosis, according to E! News. “The 18-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson shared a heartwarming photo of herself planting a kiss on formerly estranged mother Debbie Rowe’s bare head while visiting her at the hospital…”
E! notes that Paris added a caption, writing, “I’m a fighter because she’s a fighter. Love you mom.”
More recently, Paris opened up about her relationship with her mother during a 2021 “Red Table Talk” interview, saying, “It’s cool. Getting to know her, seeing how similar we are, getting into what kind of music she likes—and she really likes country and folk.”
“We look a lot alike. It’s just cool having her as a friend,” Paris continued. “It’s very chill, which I love. It’s the perfect word to describe it.”
