Post Malone fortunately appeared unharmed after gearing up for a backflip that immediately went wrong.
The 30-year-old hopped on a swivel chair while telling viewers, “This is just an attempt.” He tried to balance while standing on the chair before flying backwards and landing with a groan. “It was alright,” he laughed after the failed trick. He then said, “I actually hurt my wrist.” He was able to immediately stand up after the fall.
TMZ published a screen recording of the video and said the accident happened on Monday, December 29.
Malone is schedule to perform in Nashville on December 31 as part of “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” celebration hosted by Ryan Seacrest.
This Is Not the First Time Post Malone Has Taken a Tumble
Malone’s Monday night fall was not the first time he has publicly hit the ground. Back in June, the singer slipped and landed on his tailbone while performing live onstage in Orlando.
More recently, Entertainment Tonight published a video showing Malone go careening off the stage during a concert in India on Monday, December 8.
The “I Had Some Help” singer’s fans reacted in the comments with concern. One wrote, “Wow. I am glad he is okay.”
Another person wrote, “He’s always falling.”
Someone else took the moment to make a clever joke about Malone’s enduring popularity, writing, “And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the only time Post Malone will ever fall off.”
Post Malone Gave an Impromptu Interview While Shopping in October
The Hollywood Fix caught up with Malone back in October as he did some shopping, and the superstar seemed happy to talk.
While swigging a Bud Light bottle and smoking a cigarette, he told reporters, “It’s been a wild ride this year. Addressing his switch to country, he said, “I try to cuss less in my songs. Not in my real life, but in my songs.”
When asked if there would be any future collaborations with Morgan Wallen, the musician stayed mum. He also declined to discuss his relationship status.
Malone was dressed in a cream-colored cowboy hat and a denim-on-denim outfit for his outing. He flashed gold grills on his teeth. When asked what he was doing in Los Angeles, Malone replied he was “just running around,” but said, “I’ve gotta go back to Nashville and then get back in the studio. So yeah, I’m just hanging out.”
