Chris Van Dusen, the creator of the hit Netflix series “Bridgerton,” is joining the team behind the television adaptation of Via Bleidner’s novel “If You Lived Here You’d Be Famous By Now.” Both Kim Kardashian and Emma Roberts are also involved in the series, giving it plenty of star power and ramping up anticipation.
Chris Van Dusen Joins Kim Kardashian On New Show
As first revealed by Deadline, Van Dusen will take over as writer and showrunner for “Calabasas.” He takes over from another high-profile name in I. Marlene King, who is probably best known as the creator of “Pretty Little Liars.” King has worked in the series for over a year but now exits the project.
Van Dusen confirmed the news by sharing the original story to his Instagram page. He also accompanied a screenshot of the article with a caption saying that he has “been dreaming of this collab” with Kardashian and Roberts. The producer followed this up with a simple message to express his enthusiasm, saying, “let’s go!”
Having previously created “Bridgerton” and acting as showrunner for the first two seasons, Van Dusen is a respected and exciting figure. His prior work includes “Scandal” and “Grey’s Anatomy” and he is also collaborating with Netflix on “They Both Die At The End.”
The adaptation is under development at Netflix, which won the rights to the book following a bidding war in 2024. Kardashian and Roberts are set to executive produce alongside Van Dusen, although there’s little other information about the cast or crew as well as when we can expect it to become available.
Kim Kardashian Discusses Health
GettyKardashian has been in the news several times recently discussing her health. With the launch of the latest season of “The Kardashians” on Hulu, the 45-year-old reality television star has opened up about some of the health issues she has faced in recent times.
During the first episode of the show’s new season, Kardashian revealed that her chronic disease went into remission following her separation from Kanye West. “I haven’t had psoriasis since I got divorced,” explains Kim but also admits that it has returned in the last few months. “I mean, I have psoriasis again. I felt more stressed, probably just because I had to super, super protect what I had to protect.”
In the same episode, Kardashian receives a brain scan and discusses the results with her sister Kourtney Kardashian. During this exchange, it is discovered that the star has a brain aneurysm.
