Where to Watch ‘The Roast of Kevin Hart’

Kevin Hart is about to find out what it feels like to be on the receiving end of the jokes. Hart has been roasting celebrities and athletes for years. However, the comedian is now stepping into the hot seat for Netflix’s newest live comedy event, “The Roast of Kevin Hart.”

The live special will be part of the streaming platform’s huge Netflix Is a Joke Fest lineup. It’s expected to feature a long list of comedians, celebrities, and surprise guests who will all be taking shots at Hart’s career, controversies, and personal life.

When Does ‘The Roast of Kevin Hart’ Air?

If you want to tune into “The Roast of Kevin Hart,” then you’ll need a subscription to Netflix. The special will stream live exclusively on Netflix on Sunday, May 10, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.

This live event will take place at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. It’s all part of the Netflix Is a Joke Fest 2026.

Success With Roasts

This isn’t the first time Netflix has aired a live comedy roast event. Back in 2024, they had “The Roast of Tom Brady,” which became a major hit for the streaming service.

The roast generated headlines for weeks afterward. A big part was the celebrity appearances and the brutal jokes, especially from Nikki Glaser.

Hart was actually the host of that roast. So, now he will have his own roast, which almost feels like a bit of comedic payback.

According to Netflix, “The Roast of Kevin Hart” promises a “raw and ruthless night of live laughs.” The roast is also being marketed as one of the biggest comedy showcases of the festival.

Who Will Roast Kevin Hart?

Netflix isn’t messing around when it comes to the lineup of celebrities that will take a stab at roasting Hart. Most of the time, the lineup would be revealed before the roast takes place. The big celebrity roasters are always a draw for fans, so it’s odd that Netflix isn’t releasing that list.

The only stars confirmed for “The Roast of Kevin Hart” are Shane Gillis, who will be serving as host, Roastmaster himself Jeffrey Ross, and Hart himself.

No one else is confirmed, but there is speculation that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be in attendance, since the two are such close friends. Glaser has confirmed she has a scheduling conflict and won’t be in attendance. I have seen a few posts on Instagram from Chelsea Handler, and she talked about Kevin Hart and the festival on her podcast this week, so I am thinking she will be in attendance.

A Busy Year With Netflix

Kevin has had a busy year with Netflix. In addition to this live roast special, the comedian recently launched “Funny AF with Kevin Hart. He also has an upcoming Netflix comedy film, “72 Hours,” expected to drop later this year.

While Hart has prerecorded comedy specials already on Netflix, this is different. “The Roast of Kevin Hart” is an event that will air live on the streaming service. That means fans can watch as the jokes unfold in real time without edits.

That unpredictability became a huge part of the appeal during the Tom Brady roast. Those unexpected moments and unscripted reactions quickly went viral across social media.

Now, it’s Kevin Hart’s turn to get roasted. Tune in tonight at 8 p.m. ET on Netflix to watch live.
